A financial institution in Nigeria that provides investment capital, transaction advisory and finance arranger services in support of key long term infrastructure projects.
In line with its plans to provide leading financial solutions and advisory services to its clients, the bank is seeking experienced and motivated individuals to fill select positions within the bank for the following roles:

Head, Strategy, Research and Corporate Communications
(IFI001)

Reporting to the Managing Director! CEO, the successful candidate will be responsible for the development and execution of the Bank's strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the articulation of the overall corporate strategy and goals, and communicate same internally and externally (to existing and potential media, investors and partners)
  • Develop and implement frameworks for cascading/translating the overall goals into specific operational plans and targets
  • Articulate specific go-to market strategies to effectively penetrating new and existing markets
  • Develop and implement effective corporate communications and investor relations strategy
  • Oversee and ensure the collation of market and industry intelligence to support effective decision making
  • Conduct market research and develop competitive and business intelligence research and analysis
  • Coordinate the development of competitive and business intelligence research and analysis
  • Champion the refinement of the Bank's products to effectively respond to customer needs and the changing business dynamics

Qualification, Skills and Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree from a reputable university
  • A good full time MBA or equivalent post graduate qualification in strategic management
  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience
  • Advanced oral and written communication and presentation skills strong competency in brand image projection and brand perception by customers (and ability to develop effective measurement tools of same)
  • Experienced in changing market dynamics, customer needs and the importance of championing the banks products

 

Head, Power and Renewable Energy
(IFI002)

Reporting to the Executive Director, Projects and Advisory, the successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and executing deals in the power sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Originate transactions and manage investment teams while providing guidance for complex transaction structuring
  • Manage and lead senior investment professionals and oversee multiple project teams across the business unit
  • Drive new business activities and oversee proposals for innovative and flexible financial transactions and advisory services projects
  • Execute large deals from start to finish
  • Lead senior investment professionals and oversee multiple projects and project teams across the Business Unit
  • Drive the formulation and execution of the unit strategy
  • Present investment and credit proposals at management committee and board of directors level

Qualification, Skills and Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree from a reputable university
  • A good full time MBA or equivalent post graduate qualification in Finance
  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience with more than 7 years in corporate finance, preferably in investment banking, private equity, management consulting or experience in credit analysis preferably in Infrastructure project finance or other structured finance environment
  • Deep knowledge of the power sector and related industries
  • Advanced oral and written presentation skills
  • Executive presence and gravitas

 

 

Head, Corporate Services
(IFI003)

Reporting to the Executive Director, Finance & Admin, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Bank's Human Resources and Admin functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and implementation of the bank's Corporate Services(Human Resources and Admin) strategy and ensure alignment with the organisation's overall strategic objectives
  • Oversee the planning and forecasting of the Bank's Human Resources requirements, including the monitoring of the organisation structure and manning levels
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with business and functional heads, and ensure the proactive identification and prompt response to their human capital needs to support their operations
  • Oversee the procurement, availability and maintenance of office equipment, furniture and utilities
  • Oversee the development of strategies and policies, including a competitive compensation and benefits package, focused on hiring, developing, motivating and retaining the best talent (local and expatriates) within the Bank
  • Ensure the effective and efficient provision and administration of office services - cleaning, catering, office supplies, logistics, security, fleet management etc
  • Champion and guide management on employee relations, employee community communication, employee safety, employee welfare, wellness and health matters

Qualification, Skills and Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a reputable university
  • Professional HR and Admin certification preferred Minimum of 10 years relevant experience
  • In-depth understanding of employment law
  • Advanced oral, writing and presentation skills
  • Executive presence and gravitas

 

 

Investment Executives in Financial Institution 
(IFI004)

Reporting to the Investment Business Unit Head or the Executive Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing transaction work streams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of investment and credit proposals
  • Participate in the execution of large deals/ transactions from start to finish
  • Develop and structure presentation materials incorporating analysis of targeted industries and companies and corporate valuation
  • Prepare pitch material for significant investment opportunities

Qualification, Skills and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university
  • Relevant experience of between 5 to 15 years
  • A good full time MBA or equivalent post graduate qualification in Finance
  • Core skills set in financial modeling, valuation, financial analysis, investment and credit appraisal, risk analysis, market/industry research
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, presentation and organisational skills
  • Relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, or credit analysis preferably in infrastructure project finance or other structured finance environment
