Global Profilers is a Recruitment & HR Services firm specialized in recruitment in Africa; we are currently looking for a Lead Consultant for our client who is a Consulting company.


 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Improve the effectiveness of risk management in clients business
  • Assist Clients with integrating risk management with the strategy development process.
  • Define Clients risk management strategy, enterprise risk management framework and establish guidelines for the development and implementation of supporting policies and procedures.
  • Assist the Client’s Board and management in communicating the risk management policies, risk appetite and risk limit across their institution.
  • Establish, communicate and facilitate the use of appropriate risk methodologies, tools and techniques.
  • Champion the design and development of control frameworks for Clients processes and systems as a key enabler to achieving the business objectives of the organization.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, events, issues and developments to assist/enable the development and implementation of appropriate control measures, monitoring mechanism as well as their continuous update/revision.
  • Continuously review/ address the risks facing the various industries in Nigeria in order to proactively establish appropriate mitigating controls and monitoring mechanisms/ frameworks.
  • Work with various clients to establish, maintain and continuously improve risk management capabilities and provide oversight regarding the major risk categories (market risk, Credit Risk, Liquidity Risk & Operational Risk) with consideration for regulatory and internal controls.
  • Create new products and business opportunities for the company to promote and offer.
  • Develop risk management talent and capabilities within the company.
  • Oversee the standardization of control processes and practices across the company.

Perform other tasks as assigned by the Board.


 

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  •  Successful track record in delivery of a similar role in risk management.
  • Broad understanding of all key areas of Risk Management
  • Detailed knowledge delivering Risk Management projects
  • In-depth understanding and knowledge of risk categories, risk practices and trends in risk management
  • Stress Testing, Scenario Analysis and Capital Adequacy modeling experience.
  • Knowledge of, and ability to, conduct risk control assessments and prepare comprehensive risk management plans for the organization
  • Strong leadership, coaching and supervisory skills, ability to challenge and validate information
  • Ability to understand and interpret financial information and risk principles
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, communication and inter-personal skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.

Good understanding of Basel II, Solvency II and AMA approach.
