Compliance Officer

Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring adherence to and compliance with the applicable laws and legislation and guidelines as well as ensuring process compliance by performing audits.

 

The candidate will report directly to the Managing Director and be based in Lagos.

 RESPONSIBILITIES

·  To audit, monitor and inspect company processes to ensure compliance with company guidelines, national legislation and standards.

·   Perform risk assessment and define action plans to protect the company against risks.

·   Collect documents caused in operation of the Plant and post in SAP; accurately allocate transactions to cost centres and general ledger account

·  Prepare accurate product cost centres and general ledger account

·  Prepare accurate product cost calculations for product produced by plant

·  Prepare month end closing activities relevant to plant

·  Perform year end closing and liaise with auditors on relevant topics; adhoc duties

·  Maintain a log of communications received relevant compliance

·  Present written evaluations and reports to the Compliance Committee and Managing Director

Requirements

 ·  University degree in Finance, business or Economics

·  Minimum of 3-5 years in an audit Company

·  Ability to make fast and proper decisions

·  Strong analytical skills

·  Experience in the chemical industry is an added advantage

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Brand Manager will be responsible for organizing and developing the "Agricultural Premium Heavy & compact Equipment" activity achieving profitability, in accordance with customers’ (quality, delay, price) and suppliers’ (standard) requirements, and in line with the Group's strategy.

The candidate will report directly to the General Manager and be based in Lagos.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Compile price sheets and quotes, closing sales

·  Monthly/weekly reporting and liaising with Brand Manager in Head Office, France.

·  Visit at least 1 new prospective customer per day

·  Manage and coach the sales team of the Brand

·  Facilitate daily sales meetings

·  Control and make sure profit targets and budgets are met

·  Initiate promotion and marketing activities

·  Prepare monthly stock orders

·  Establish the necessary file for any transaction

·  Follow and ascertain the payment of any Project

 Purpose of Position

To guide the operational units Freight Forwarding (Air, Sea, Projects and Logistics) and Shipping in all operational disciplines and ensures (within the functional scope) operational excellence, high productivity and customer satisfaction.

Tasks

Job description

  • Control the correct coding of accounts vouchers, their posting and filing
  • Control timely payment of creditor s invoices
  • Control the cash movements
  • Receivables: maintains individual ledgers, allocates payments to invoices, send dunning letters, maintains WHT recoverable ledger and follow-up with customers
  • Taxes: prepares monthly VAT returns, WHT remittance
  • Payroll: monthly payments, follow up of loans / advances / leave allowances / pension funds
