Our client is a mid- size engineering and project management company with businesses in home building, real estate, telecommunications and power sectors in Lagos, Nigeria but with operations in other African countries (Gabon, Ghana, Congo Uganda and Tanzania). Due to internal expansion in their Lagos branch, they have decided to hire and Executive Assistant for the CEO. As a critical member of the team, maturity, integrity and ability to function at a strategic level are crucial aspects of this position.

The candidate will be the principal executive and administrative support person for the CEO of this multi – dimensional organization, thereby performing a vitally important role. The successful candidate will have a sincere interest in the continuous improvement of the performance of the company, possess excellent administrative and relational skills, value attention to detail, and be able to handle a variety of activities and tasks.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Take the heavy lifting off the CEO
  • Be the right hand man of the CEO
  • Represent the CEO in a professional and congenial manner in person, in telephone conversations, and in written correspondence.
  • Write proposals, prepare and make presentations
  • Write letters and other correspondence for the CEO, including letters of agreement
  • Discreet handling of confidential information
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions for various projects
  • Oversee the development and preparation of budgets for specific projects of the Organization
  • Approve proposals and requests on behalf of the CEO
  • Trouble shoot and problem solve on behalf of the CEO
  • Track and monitor performance and accounts
  • Ensure compliance to set standards and procedures
  • Follow up with outcomes of meetings on behalf of the CEO
  • Ensuring processes are adhered to and new process introduced where necessary
  • Assist with filing and organization of information.


Leadership Management Marketing

  • Maintain the office calendar, including the schedule for the CEO.
  • Assist with other executive and administrative tasks as assigned by the CEO

Education and Experience:

  • Engineering or Project Management degree and a Masters in Business Administration
  • 10 – 15 years post – graduation work experience preferably in telecommunications, engineering and project management
