Our client is a manufacturer of CD Roms with their main office based at Dubai, United Arab Emirates. 

An exciting opportunity exists for a  Graphic Design Manager to take part in the expansion of the organisation and also play a strategic part in achieving the organisation's goals and objectives.

Job Description



The Graphic Design Manager is responsible for coordinating the activities of the Graphics & Design and Authoring staff members of the Company, ensuring the delivery of top quality designs to both internal and external stakeholders




  • To be in charge of the day to day operations of the Creative Services department.
  • To create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on the customer`s requirements and supplied materials for each placed order.
  • To create designs and concepts for the Company`s print media adverts.
  • To ensure the Company`s style guide is strictly adhere to by all Graphic and Web Design Officers.
  • To ensure the Authoring team consistently provides customers with top quality authoring design interface.
  • To confer with customers to discuss and determine layout design for their artwork designs.
  • To develop graphics and layouts for products illustrations, Company logos, Company stationery, and the Company`s websites whenever required.
  • To ensure new information are regularly uploaded on the Company`s website.
  • To create an electronic design folder for each customer account.
  • To work with other Graphic and Web Design Officers to create new designs for the Company`s websites whenever required.
  • To attend to the IT needs of other units of the Company whenever required.
  • To ensure safekeeping of all completed artwork designs for each customer order.
  • To oversee implementation of the Company`s new media marketing strategies.
  • To oversee the management of the Company`s websites.
  • To forward all completed artwork designs for each placed order to the Customer Service department upon completion of each design.
  • To actively participate in all weekly and group departmental meetings.
  • To carry out any other duty required by the Marketing Director.
  • To kick off design projects by assigning jobs to each Graphic Designer.


Other Requirements

  • Highly creative individual.
  • Experience in concept creation, production and artwork design.
  • Ability to use CorelDraw, Adobe Photoshop, and related design programs very well.
  • Ability to create dvd interface
  • Good verbal and written communications skills.
  • Good listening skills.
  • Good command of English Language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of compositions and grammar.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing good customer and personal services.
  • A strong working knowledge of experience design, brand development, interactive commerce and creative process.
  • Ability to easily come up with high quality concepts for promotional campaigns.
  • Possess a strong eye for design and know what appeals to the target customers.
  • Have strong organizational skills.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • PC proficiency essential and ability to use Ms Word and Excel packages.
  • High standard of attention to detail.
  • Ability to take other peoples ideas and bring them to function.
  • Must be a smart individual.
  • Ability to grasp complex concept easily.
  • Ability to polish and improve on all aspects of a project whenever needed.
  • Posses huge amount of personal drive and self confidence.
  • Good at getting complex projects off the ground.
  • Willingness to work a flexile schedule.
  • Must be physically and psychologically fit.
  • Must be result oriented.
  • Must have high level of integrity and dependability.
  • Must be able to operate a computer system.
  • Must be a good team player.


Educational Requirements

  • Bsc/HND with minimum 2nd class upper division,
  • 7 years post NYSC work experience in similar or related capacity and a supervisory or managerial level and a professional qualification related to the position
  • A relevant post graduate degree would be an added advantage
