Job Purpose:

 

  • Responsible for maintaining all financial, accounting, and financial administrative services of the company in order to meet legislative requirements and support business operations.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Assist with preparation of budget.
  • Implement financial policies and procedures.
  • Ensure daily postings of receipts, invoices and cheque requisition.
  • Establish, maintain and reconcile the general ledger.
  • Prepare and reconcile bank statements and petty cash account reconciliation.
  • Preparation of  VAT Schedule for remittance
  • Process supplier invoices as well as posting of all sales invoice at the end of each month.
  • Ensure transactions are properly recorded.
  • Assist in the preparation of income statements.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports.
  • Involvement in monthly Trial Balance review.
  • Establish and maintain customers’ accounts and reconcile customer’s statement.
  • Liaise with CIT Officers to collect trip sheets and prepare monthly sales invoices.
  • Ensure Compliance with Statutory Regulations.
  • Ensure information security and confidentiality at all times.
  • Effectively carrying out all other duties as may be assigned.

 

Qualification & Experience:

 

  • Bachelors Degree plus relevant professional certification.
  • 3 to 5 years prior professional experience specifically in Accounting.

  • High level of planning and organizing skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office suite.
  • Superior organisational and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to gather and analyze information and possession of investigative skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and maintain a high level of professionalism and accuracy.
  • Good investigative and reporting skills.
  • Time management skills and ability to function under pressure.
