Key Responsibilities

§ Responsible for conducting the company’s equipment training activities such as training of new operators, re-assessments of experienced operators, supervision of trainees, reports on individual operators
§ Performs hands-on training of the operators on the following container handling equipment: Cranes, Reach Stacker, Empty Handler, Terminal Trucks, Fork Lift and Sky lift.
§ Maintain skill and experience as senior operator.
§ Demonstrates proper and correct operation and maintenance of the equipment. Provides instruction in applicable safety rules and regulations. 
§ Enters electronic records of all courses completed by company staff, with attendance, grades, final report, and so forth. 
§ Gives specific input that will help in compilation of training packages
§ When required will operate plant in operations including Terminal Trucks, Fork Lift, Empty Handler, Reach Stackers and the Cranes.
§ To assist Operations and HSE with incident reviews and subsequent remedial learning.
§ Performs other related activities as requested.
§ Has a valid Driving Licence.
§ Drive terminal trucks using safe driving techniques and safe parking procedures


Who we are looking for

§ Minimum of a Senior Secondary School Certificate/First Leaving School Certificate 
§ Experience with Mobile Harbor Cranes, Rubber Gantry Cranes, Spreaders and associated equipment
§ Requires some previous experience that demonstrates an ability to train, and give instructions to others.
§ Should possess Communication, Presentation and People skills.
§ Requires the ability to communicate both in English & Pidgin English.
§ Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office Tools
§ Must Have Valid Driver’s License

Key Responsibilities

Ø Receive and execute instructions and decisions from the Power Maintenance Foreman;
Ø Comply with all disaster contingency plans;
Ø Identify work requirements and raise work requests providing complete and thorough information;
Ø Advise Power Maintenance Foreman on concerns relating to unreliable equipment;
Ø Perform other related functions required from time to time such as assistance with major emergency work;
Ø Maintain a clean and safe work environment;
Ø Comply with all disaster contingency cleanliness;
Ø Ensure adherence to established safety practices in the execution of assignments and in the use of tools, equipment and machinery;
Ø Assist in maintenance of a safe working environment;
Ø Provide technical expertise and a positive attitude to the functions performed;
Ø As required, identify spare parts and tools required for breakdown work;
Ø Provide Work Order planning information as required to Maintenance Planner or Foreman;
Ø Perform maintenance activities on a daily/weekly/monthly basis;
Ø Troubleshoot and effect repairs on electrical and electronic circuits, digital drive and control systems, programmable logic controllers and electrical component elements. This includes the modification of components and servicing techniques in conjunction with the Power Maintenance Foreman to improve efficiency;
Ø Test equipment to ensure compliance with specification and safety standards;
Ø Service, repair, deploy, remove and stow away equipment as required using safe driving techniques and safe parking procedures;
Ø Execute maintenance schedule as directed by Power Maintenance Foreman;
Ø Provide feedback to Foreman on job progress;
Ø Identify components to be overhauled;
Ø Complete post-job tasks – clean up, return of spares etc;
Ø Provide correct information on Work Orders and other job documentation, ensuring an accurate record of work performed, time taken to complete work, spare parts and materials used etc;
Ø Ensure equipments are available and ready for operation at all times.


Who we are looking for

Ø .Eng/B.Sc/HND/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering from recognized institution. Any additional training in both electrical/electronic fields in any heavy industries will be preferred. 
Ø Requires at least Two to Four years of experience in crane maintenance section in any ports, mines, steel and manufacturing plants, including specific knowledge of electrical/electronic and related subjects. 
Ø Requires specific technical knowledge in the maintenance and repair cranes 
Ø Must be able to replace/repair/adjust major electrical/electronic parts such as PLC drive control system, communication drive system, at a high level of difficulty and complexity 
Ø Requires an in-depth ability to interpret electrical/electronic diagram, simple engineering drawings, layouts and specifications. 
Ø Requires a general knowledge of electrical and electronic components 
Ø Requires general familiarity with instrumentation and communications systems, and a familiarity with control systems. 
Ø Requires general knowledge and background in technical applications of digital and analogue electronics 
Ø Requires the ability to follow instructions & plan the work day. 
Ø Required to keep work area organized, neat and efficiently planned. 
Ø Requires the ability to be responsive to emergency breakdowns and repairs with quality workmanship and service. 
Ø Requires the ability to learn fast.
Ø Valid Driver’s License.
