Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Operability, Reliability and Maintainability (ORM) Superintendent located in Nigeria. This position is rotational.

Overview:
The ORM Superintendent will provide Operations Leadership and oversight for all Chevron Nigeria Limited Captial Projects. The successful candidate will provide overall management of operations and maintenance support for the development and seamless transition of Major Capital Projects to meet and exceed the Strategic Business Unit's goals.

Position Details:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

·  Extensive and diverse knowledge of the Oil field Operations, Construction, Petroleum Engineering activities etc. Derived from both education and substantial field experience.

·  Experience in Operations Assurance process, CPDEP (Chevron Project Development and Execution Process), design review, procedure development, Commissioning / Start up.

·  Ability to review and understand detailed engineering drawings (PFD, P&ID, SAFE charts etc.), Equipment Layout, Safety in Design practices and Human Factors Engineering.

·  Utilize CPDEP tools to evaluate creative alternative solutions.

·  CSOC (Capital Stewardship Organizational Capability) Supreme certified, fluency in Decision Review Board rolesfunctions and particularly quality decision making.

·  Broad based operational experience across operations disciplines in both supervisory and managerial roles.

·  Ability to supervise and mentor Operations and Maintenance Representatives in multiple projects. Ability to develop and execute Operations and Maintenance training programs and procedures. Ability to lead the development of cost-effective solutions to unique and complex operations problems. Utilize best practice and newemerging technologies.

·  Ability to facilitate the flow of information and decision making processes between Project teams and Operations groups.

·  Provide recognition for individual and team success. Ability to plan, coach and mentor employees. Provide adequate feedback to employees on performance and development.

·  Establish the critical few priorities and high impact areas of focus. Effectively ties individual goalsobjectives to work unit goalsobjectives.

·  Familiarity and utilization of the "Operations Representative Multilevel Competency" process to develop Operations Representatives.

·  Commitment to Operational Excellence (OE) and safe work practices.

·  Ability to work in multi-disciplined project teams to ensure future facilities meet operability, efficiency, reliability and safety goalds/objectives of the Joint Venture Operations.

·  Knowledge of Standard Operating Practices, Operational Excellence elements and Operations Assurance processes.

·  Fluency in Operational Excellence Management System processes to achieve world class performance.

·  Provide clear,specific suggestions for improvement.

·  Champion Chevron Tenents across multiple areas of responsibility.

·  Ability to properly prioritize projects activities and resources.

·  Demonstrate agility by anticipating and responding to change.

·  Ability to determine assignments, schedules, and timelines for project activities.

·  Ability to develop appropriate organizational capabilities to support MCPs.

·  Think strategically by taking a long term view/perspective of the business.

·  Ability to create awareness of potential project issues.

·  Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills.

·  Ability to communicate consistently and effectively in all directions. Able to assemble and direct teams at multiple locations.

·  Facilitate information flow and decision making processes between the Design and Operations groups.

·  Able to communicate overall projects goalsobjectives and outcomes between Partners and Chevron Nigeria Limited Management.

·  Fluency in the utilization of Microsoft Office suite.

·  Actively seek out input and direction from Stake Holders as a means of measuring performance.
