Under the responsibility of the QC Co-ordinator (reporting line), Construction Leader and the QA Lead (functional line), and with the assistance of the Welding Engineer, the QC/NDT inspector shall supervise and validate with
Contractor of all NDT inspections executed in AVEON Yard. Particularly:
• Ensure that the work is performed safely, in compliance with Client’s HSE requirements and objectives.
• Promote and challenge HSE initiatives during construction phase to keep people mobilized and safety minded (e.g. Weekly Site Walk Around, anomaly system, HSE challenge, etc.)
• Ensure that the work is executed in full compliance with the COMPANY General Specification, and Client’s particular specifications / requirements.
• Ensure that Contractors / Subcontractors perform QC inspection activities in accordance with project requirements, specified acceptance criteria and the contracted scope of work.
• Conduct surveillance of Contractors / Subcontractors fabrication and testing processes and activities in accordance with the Client’s Package Surveillance Plan, Quality Control Plans (QCPs) & Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
• Review, monitor and report the status of inspection and test activities executed by the Client’s Contractor, Subcontractors & Suppliers
• Pre-validate together with Contractors / Subcontractors all NDE. Witness NDE operations, NDE operator qualification and test equipment, including acceptance criteria and parameters.
• Ensure the management and control and traceability of project materials to be incorporated to the Works.
• Conduct “X” check of NDE Operators and test equipment. Perform independent “X” check & testing of structures, piping and fittings (forgings, cold bending, weldments etc.).
• Monitor and review of the preparation of final document deliverables (Fabrication/Construction, Mechanical Completion and “As-Built” dossiers).
• Monitor and report (weekly) NDT activities (progress, schedule, area of concerns, etc.)
• Follow up NCR / CAR processes as required

• To ensure that an effective implementation of HSE system is applied, as appropriate at site.
• To take time for checking safety documents and permits at site.
• To ensure that risk assessment prior to start new activity is properly conducted and understood by personnel involved.
• To make himself visible at site and available/approachable for discussion about HSE concerns.
• To demonstrate evidence of his relationship to safety with clear communication on site about commitment to safety.
• To continuously assess safety behavior of personnel and intervene with a pro-active approach explaining and coaching.
• To take every opportunity at site to communicate with workforce about safety, listening on difficulties, sharing his own experience and proposing applicable solutions.
• To be involved in incident investigation and follow-up actions implementation.

The Client Project is a challenging Contract, both technically and with respect to execution strategy wherein a high quotient of work shall be conducted in-country, from engineering through to construction and test. This requirement is reflected in the Manifold Package by the need to design and build the manifold and foundation systems in Nigeria. AVEON Yard located in PORT HARCOURT Nigeria will execute the following scope of work:
• Fabrication and test of 6 foundations/support structures and 6 manifolds;
• Fabrication and test of 2 pigging loop modules;
• Fabrication and test of 21 production jumpers;
• Fabrication of 33 Xtree structural frames, 33 XTree ROV panels, 33 XTree guidance structures;
• Fabrication of 44 Permanent guide base and mud mat;
• Fabrication of 5 Subsea distribution units for water injection wells;
• Assembly of 16 Umbilical terminations with foundation structure;
• Fabrication of 23 deployment frames.
The Package is, in essence, a “delivery” package with equipment from the Package being installed on or by facilities designed / provided by other Packages. The on-time delivery of equipment is essential to ensure that
“receiving” Packages are not adversely impacted.
The QC/NDT inspector’s primary focus is required to be on delivery of the Manifolds and Connection Systems in accordance with Quality requirements.

• Ensure that the work is executed in full compliance with the COMPANY General Specification, and Client’s particular specifications / requirements.
• Ensure that Contractors / Subcontractors perform QC inspection activities in accordance with project requirements, specified acceptance criteria and the contracted scope of work.

• Education: Education to HNC level or above in an Engineering discipline or equivalent.
• Professional Experience: Minimum 10 years experience in a QC/Welding/NDE role in the Oil and Gas Industry, of which 5 years spent in Subsea Production System and recent experience in subsea covering all aspects of engineering, procurement, materials inspection, testing and fabrication.
• Qualification: ASNT Level II for Radio, UT, MPI or equivalent COFREND, PCN. Personnel shall have EN473 level II as a minimum in UT, RT because we required our own Contractors to have En 473
• Required Competencies: Good knowledge of HSE Golden Rules. Good knowledge of welding processes.
Very good knowledge of material and equipment. Very good competencies related to NDE Techniques.
Familiarity with Contractor, Subcontractor & Supplier documentation i.e. QCP/ITP, Construction / Fabrication Dossiers, Material Certification, Quality Records etc.
• Language: English fluent

• Location: Position is on a 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off rotational basis, and located at Contractor's AVEON yard
