Job Description

Job Purpose:

Responsible for facilitating delivery of seamless services to visiting customers and prospects. To expand relationships by selling to new and existing customers. Will be the face of the branch and will assist in any/all customer related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

•                    The Personal Banker is responsible for performing intermediate duties and support related to branch operational activities and financial services

•                    Processes all new account transactions; assisting customers in their selection of various accounts and financial services

•                    Responsible for achieving sales target on CC, Loans, BTF, A/C Opening, Investment/Insurance potentials customers and any other products, service as required.

•                    Opening, maintaining and closing of all account types.

•                    Performing branch clerical duties.

•                    Promoting business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services.

•                    Supporting to less experienced New Account Representatives and other branch staff members.

•                    Adhering to all the banks product / guidance and procedures all the time and co-operating in all the internal and external audits and checks.

Development Value:

Personal bankers need to be comfortable with marketing techniques, such as cold-calling, to help build a customer-base.

Knowledge/Experience:

•             Handles in the best interest of both customer and company.

•             Is able to use automated information systems to analyse the customer’s situation.

•             Is able to suggest improvements to the various communications by the bank.

•             Handle complaints, even when handling unpleasant customers.

 

Qualifications

 

Skills:

•             People management skills (leadership, motivation, communication)

•             Sales skills & Service Champion

•             Thorough knowledge of banking operations, systems, and in-depth product knowledge

 

Qualifications:

                    Diploma’s or equivalent degree from an accredited College or University

                    Bachelor’s preferred

                    Ability to interact with all levels of staff in a professional and positive manner.

                    Excel in analytical, time management skills

                    Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation skills with strong influencing and persuasive talents.

                    Self-motivated, takes initiative and has the ability to effectively organize, multi-task and prioritize a wide array of initiatives. Has an aptitude for innovation.

                    Strong customer orientation; relevant sales experience will be considered.

                    Must be flexible, manage and follow up on customers and initiatives

                    High integrity and ethics
