 Adexen Recruitment Agency has been mandated by a multinational  equipment manufacturing company to recruit a Sales Manager for its operations in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.


Our client is a multinational manufacturing company involved  in the manufacture and  sales of  construction equipments.


Job description

  • Expand Client portfolio by acquiring new market shares or boost sales with a focus on Nigerian companies
  • Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the
  • assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organization’s products/services
  • • Makes telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers
  • • Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers
  • • Plans and organizes personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time Investment for the
  • territory/segment
  • Researches sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential
  • Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and
  • Promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service
  • areas
  • Participates in trade shows and conventions
  • Assist and work in synergy with our existing customer service department, and possibly with the Executive
  • Relocations office.


  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in sales the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of the construction, mining and energy industries (Petrochem, Power)
  • Ability to read blueprints, submittals and technical documents
  • Able to discuss engineering products with customers
  • Solid understanding of sales process from identification of leads to close of deals
  • Sales experience from building relationships to expanding client base in the construction market
  • Excellent presentation and oral/written expression
  • Capable of working with little or no supervision, and take proper decisions
  • Must be team Oriented and outgoing

• High level of IT proficiency (specially Outlook and MS Office)
