HP Storage Product Marketing Manager for Converged Infrastructure & Software Solutions (f/m)-1213311



As the HP Storage Product Marketing Manager for CI & Software Solutions you will represent HP Storage in all HP Converged Infrastructure solutions and programs in EMEA. You will develop initiatives to further drive the CI business for HP Storage.


Furthermore your will responsible for managing and developing the HP Storage software solution business which includes integrations and solutions for major ISVs (e.g. MS, VMware, SAP, etc.) as well as converged management software. This can be HP Storage specific (Recovery Manager, StoreFront, SystemCenter, etc.) or storage integrations into HP CI Software (e.g. OneView)


While being part of the Primary Storage Team in the EMEA Storage RBU you will work in close collaboration with the Product Management and Marketing teams at the worldwide GBU level as well as the HP Product Marketing, Sales and Channel teams in countries and the sub-regions.

As part of the CI Role you will also represent HP Storage in cross-BU Converged Infrastructure initiatives and engage with the respective representatives from other EG Business Units on country, sub-region and EMEA level.


Among others you will be responsible for the following:



Product Management and Product Marketing for HP Storage Software Solutions



·         HP Recovery Manager

·         HP StoreFront (upcoming converged management software)

·         HP Storage Plug-ins and integration into 3rd party ISV software (e.g. VCenter plugin, SAP Landscape virtualization manager, etc.)

·         Other integration frameworks that include major ISVs products like Microsoft, VMware, SAP, Oracle, etc.



-       Manage all aspects of the product lifecycle starting from new product introduction (NPI), through updates and enhancements, up to proper end of life (EOL) phase out and transitioning of products

-       Coordinate with the worldwide Product Management on all aspects of Product Lifecycle Management

-       Maintain focus clear communication and enablement of HP Sales and Channel Partners for of all Storage Software products and solutions

-       Define EMEA pricing and pricing policies and implement them together with the pricing team

-       Support Country BUs and Sales with their daily business tasks around the product and product lifecycle

-       Build up and maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitive offerings and strategies to support HP Sales teams with counter arguments, strategies and programs

-       Understand the business dynamics of your respective products and be able to present status to senior management

-       Understand the product roadmap and the business impact. Define opportunities and develop and implement programs that further drive the visibility and the success of the portfoli

-       Work closely with ESSN marketing team to drive effective demand generation campaigns

-       Support EMEA PR/AR activities

-       Ensure availability of required marketing material (e.g. customer presentations, collateral) to sales teams.

-       Set up and communicate promotional activities to support product business

-       Develop Sales Tools to support HP Sales and Channel Partners

-       Own communication related to product marketing and sales initiatives to all sales forces

-       Coordinate with GBU teams on worldwide initiatives to ensure maximum benefit for EMEA business

-       Present on EMEA customer and partner events and support local country events as needed

-       Work with sales teams on shaping big deals


HP Storage lead & Business Development Manager for Converged Infrastructure Solutions


·         HPSD EMEA RBU representative into Converged Infrastructure Business Units (CSBU)

·         Lead for Storage in all CI solution programs/initiative

·         Coordinate with other EG BUs to drive and develop HP CI initiatives

·         Work with other EG BUs to maximize HP Storage results from HP CI initiative

·         Identify new business opportunities based on current market trends and competitive analysis

·         Initiate Storage led business development initiatives to drive HP CI business

·         Be the evangelist for HP CI Solution and Storage inside HP and in the HP partner eco system

·         Drive enablement activities to increase expertise of HP Sales and Channel Partners for Storage as part of HP CI Solutions

·         Work with sales teams on shaping big deals



Education and Experience Required:

-       University or Bachelor's degree; Advanced University or MBA preferred.

-       3-5 years' experience in the desired specialty

-       Directly related previous work experience

-       Experience as Product Manager or Business Development Manager

-       Combination of both technical and business experience

-       Fluent in English (verbal & writing)

-       Experience in working with people from different functions and different countries/languages

-       Experience in an EMEA or cross-country role preferred

-       Experience with HP EG product division or related (ISS, HPN, HPSD, Cloud, Presales)


Knowledge & Skills required:

-       Good technology understanding combined with high business focus

-       Familiar with storage technologies and detailed understanding of the storage market

-       Knowledge of HP Converged Infrastructure Solutions & Software preferred

-       Maintains knowledge of industry trends, associated solutions, and key partner/ISV solutions.

-       Knows strengths and weaknesses of key CI and storage competitors

-       Knowledge of the customer's infrastructure, architectures and requirements

-       Knowledge of key industry application solution vendors such as Microsoft, VMware, Oracle, SAP, …

-       Good understanding of HP Go-To-Market and HP Channel Landscape

-       Is able to articulate and sell large complex solutions

-       Ability to integrate well in existing teams (team player)

-       Good presentation skills including presentations in front of large audiences

-       Strong communication skills

-       Good project & program management skills

-       Has demonstrated leadership in driving initiatives to grow and develop business

-       Strategic planning on a business development level; can build an effective business case reflecting the value of an appropriate strategy.

-       Balance strategic and tactical pursuits to optimize predictable revenue stream

-       Can work in a matrix structure, coordinating with various other groups
