Demand Planner

Description :

REASON OF BEING – MISSION: 

It is key to better anticipate the future customer demand to size our industrial capacities, better serve our customers and optimize the inventory. The collaborative sales forecast (CSF) process has been deployed in each country to discuss and adjust the sales forecast. 
The mission of the Demand Planner is to lead this process for the Business/Countries under his/her responsibility: define, in collaboration with country marketing and finance, the unconstraint demand of Schneider customers and provide this forecast to the supply chain. 
The Demand Planner can also part of the Sales, Inventory & Operation Planning (SIOP) process meetings when specific sales events make it necessary or when decisions must be taken to balance Supply and Demand. 


ACTIVITIES - AREAS OF JOB RESPONSIBILITY: 

o Decide on a regular basis in collaboration with the SIOP Leaders on one side and country offer marketing on the other side what must be forecasted with collaborative approach (Critical families of products) every month 

o Analyze, understand & adjust the sales history for each family focusing on the critical ones 

o Check and ensure that the master data are kept updated 

o Prepare the best forecast proposal, using the forecast statistical tool : select the best statistical forecast model for each product family and make specific adjustments based on events which are already known from previous cycle 

o Conduct the monthly CSF meetings with country offer marketing : challenge, collect, consolidate the inputs (strategic and tactical Marketing information and Product Life Cycle/Roadmap information) and adjust the forecast accordingly 

o Take into account all the sales events: promotion, price change, bonus, projects, big orders, new customer, new distributor… and market information: growth, decline, market share increase or decrease… 

o Propose the forecast, with the assumptions, at an aggregated level for discussion and validation with the country management (finance and marketing). 

o Release the validated forecast and assumptions at reference level to the supply chain for capacity sizing. 

o Measure the forecast accuracy for each country at relevant levels of the pyramid, challenge countries on the results, detect the reasons of discrepancy, set up actions with country marketing to sustain/secure continuous improvements for the future. 

o Set up and lead meetings with marketing and Inventory Management teams on specific topics when necessary (launches, healthy stock campaigns…)

Ø Run and improve the CSF process performance 

Ø Lead the collaboration and validation meetings with marketing and finance and reach the “One number” forecast (CSF and Finance forecast in line) with them 

Ø Understand Market trends, product hierarchy and sales channels 

Ø Understand the product life cycle management process and use it to adjust the forecast 

Ø Understand finance forecast process 

Ø Show advanced communication and negotiation skills 

Ø Be efficient in managing action plans 

Ø Engage country management in the process and challenge them on the performance (MAPE) 

Ø Use the forecasting tool efficiently and understand all its features

Ø Write assumption in a clear and concise way 

Ø Collaborate with upstream supply chain and take into account the feedback of the forecast consumers 

Ø Be recognised as the unique point of contact for the supply chain on forecasting for the relevant countries 

Ø Show time management skills and run the process strictly on time (release forecast before 10th working day each month for the standard forecast horizon)

Desired professional experience: 

Preferred 1 to 3 years experience in Supply Chain or in Marketing, preferably in Schneider Electric to know the organization and have the market and product knowledge.

 

Communications Officer

Job Purpose: 

To ensure visibility of the brand and products and create awareness for consumers. 


Principal Accountabilities: 

· Continually optimise media plan 

· Update / create new media plan content 

· Follow up on jobs done by communication agencies 

· Launch media-related actions in newly-launched clusters 

· Organise and measure related events with target audiences 

· Manage the day-to-day external communications activities for the retail business 

· Maintain a strong brand for the organisation by ensuring its corporate and individual brands enjoy a high visibility with their target audience across key media platforms to aid the organisation’s sales/ marketing efforts 

· Support the co-ordination of media and public affairs activities to promote the brand and product(s) 

· Develop market reports and assist with data analysis for strategic planning of marketing/sales activities 

· Support in preparing press statements/articles and manage the production and promotion of sales and merchandize materials 

· Build on existing and develop new relationships with the media, key decision makers, member-organisations and others to build business growth 

· Manage the monitoring of media and current affairs developments, across a wide range of media platforms 

· Undertake other duties as may be reasonably required from time to time as regards marketing communications and sales objectives

 

Education & Experience: 

· A good first degree 

· Approximately 3--5 years 


Knowledge: 

· Marketing communications

· Excellent communication skills (verbal and written – fluent English). 

· Excellent customer service skills. 

· Demonstrate good self control whilst working under pressure.
