Marketing Executive- (Hotel) At RS Hunter

Job Purpose:

The Marketing Executive in the hotel industry is responsible for maximizing a hotel’s revenues by developing programs to increase occupancy and make profitable use of its accommodation, meeting and leisure facilities. A hotel Marketing Executive must maintain awareness of the factors that influence the hotel industry and gain a deep understanding of the needs and attitudes of a hotel’s customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing and investigating price, demand and competition
  • Devising and presenting ideas and strategies
  • Compiling and distributing financial and statistical information
  • Writing reports
  • Monitoring performance.
  • Maximize profits through the development of sales strategies that match customer requirements.
  • To set up promotional campaigns and work with the support and revenue teams to ensure that hotels participate in the relevant campaigns.
  • Communicating with target audiences and managing customer relationships.
  • Liaising and networking with a range of stakeholders including customers, colleagues, suppliers and partner organizations.
  • Sourcing advertising opportunities and placing adverts in the press – local, regional, national and specialist publications – or on the radio and social media.
  • Managing the production of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters, e-newsletters and DVDs.
  • Supporting the marketing manager and other colleagues
  • The role will also involve identifying key events and creating and developing marketing and promotional material within the hotel with an emphasis on the food and beverage side of the operation.

Ideal Background & Experience:

  • The Ideal Marketing Executive Candidate should have previous hotel experience within a similar role or be a Sales Coordinator who has had exposure in the hospitality field as well as sales.
  • Must have good IT and web based skills and are able to demonstrate excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Must be able to work set targets and goals and be able to demonstrate a proactive approach to achieving goals.
  • Knowledge of working with a Corporate Hotel Group would be advantageous and hotel experience is essential.
