The Procurement Officer will support the Procurement and Supply Chain of the company looking to grow rapidly in the next few years.

KEY AIMS & OBJECTIVES

To manage and deliver the Procurement and Supply Chain responsibilities as listed below. The officer will work well within a team and on an individual basis.

PRIME RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

To lead in the preparation of procurement procedures and policies
Pre-qualification of Vendors
Development of Approved Vendor List
Preparation of ITT (invitation to tender)
Review of bids
Commercial evaluation of bids
Preparation and review of contracts
Vendor negotiation
Preparation and execution of Purchase Orders into Orion System
Expediting of Vendor materials and documentation
Close out of PO
REPORTS

Orion generated reports such as company commitments
KEY INTERNAL INTERFACES

All Managers generating PO requisitions
Finance Department
KEY EXTERNAL INTERFACES

Vendors
Requirements

THE PERSON

Min 7 years of experience in a relevant Procurement role
Knowledge & experience of ICT industry
Demonstrated knowledge in Procurement of package and bulk materials
Knowledge required of tender evaluation, negotiation of purchasing terms & conditions, expediting, inspection and logistics
Experience in preparation and compilation of ‘Invitation to Tender’ packages
Experienced in handling and processing bid tender clarifications
Experienced in the preparation of Procurement Procedures & Forms
Solid experience working in the Nigerian market
International experience would be desirable.
Ability to work with minimal supervision
A good team player
Excellent communication skills
Strong computer skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to properly maintain files and historical data.
