Role Summary/Purpose:

 

The Sales Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of sales strategies for products & services for the installed based fleet within the Power Generation Services portfolio in order to secure sustainable and profitable growth.


Essential Responsibilities:

For the installed base fleet within the Power Generation Services portfolio, the Sales Manager shall be responsible for:

- Establish and maintain effective customer relationships across all levels
- Identify and develop short to long term sales opportunities
- Leading the (timely) deal closure of sales opportunities, throughout the initial identification, proposal, negotiation and closure phase
- Drive and execute commercial strategies and growth initiatives
- Compile, assess and appropriately communicate relevant customer/ market dynamics as well as competitive analyses
- Own the regional input for the commercial planning such as forecasting or SI/ SII planning as well as inputs for NPI or other strategic initiatives
- Liaise and coordinate with the entire regional leadership team, especially with the PGS team

Key performance measures:


sales, orders, commitments, price/ margin rates, penetration and forecasting accuracy
Qualifications/Requirements: Qualifications/Requirements
Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited university.
Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience
Expertise in rotating equipment (turbines, generators, compressors, motors etc) Successful sales experience Strong interpersonal skills Excellent presentation and communication skills Knowledge of customer financial drivers Excellent leadership, co-ordination and influencing skills
Language: fluent in English and another language from the region


Additional Eligibility Qualifications:


Desired Characteristics: Desired Characteristics Green Belt certified (Relevant to GE Employees only) Technical, Sales Leadership or Field Engineering Program graduate (Relevant to GE Employees only) Relevant experience in the following fields: sales, commercial or business management An MBA would be beneficial
