Senior General Manager-Construction

Directs the company's planning activities and provide leadership and overall guidance in both the administration and operation of the company.

  • Manage the promotion, development and extension of the business of the Company and the reputation and interests of the Company.
  • Prepares plans and programmes for the attainment of approved objectives and oversees their implementation.
  • Oversees the development and implementation of all activities of the Company including business development, financial control, industrial relations and procurement.
  • Direct the preparation of operational matters.
  • Develop and manage the implementation of group policy regarding work environment.
  • Administration,  Accounting, purchasing,  reporting and human resources.
  • Maintain knowledge of all competition.
  • Highly motivated individual with strong knowledge of construction business and developed leadership skills to ensure the effective management of our construction business.
  • The successful candidate will have previous Director/General Manager experience. HND/BSc  in any Engineering discipline with minimum of 15 years cognate experience in the
  • Construction Industry with at least 8 years at managerial or supervisory level.
  • Very good knowledge and understanding of the Construction industry in Nigeria and the basic guiding statutory laws, contract principles and implement issues will be an added advantage.
  • Candidates should have strong links to industry and knowledge of the business drivers for our key markets.
  • Experience in managing construction contracts in infrastructures development will be an added advantage.

 

 

Manager Business Development - Marine Business

  • Minimum 10 years of proven track records of designing and implementing Business / Marketing
  • plans in Marine, Shipping and Offshore Industries.
  • Possess excellent technical operational client-consulting skills.
  • Suitable candidates will have a Degree in Engineering / Strategic Marketing / Business development or equivalent professional qualification with experience in preparing and maintaining Maritime & Offshore contracts.

 

 

Business Development-Construction

  • HND/BSc in any Engineering discipline with minimum of 10 years cognate experience in the Construction Industry with at least 5 years at managerial or supervisory level.
  • Very good knowledge and understanding of the Construction industry in Nigeria and the basic guiding statutory laws.
  • Contract principle and issues will be an added advantage.
  • Candidates should have strong  links to industry and knowledge of the business drivers for our key markets.
  • Experience in managing construction contracts in infrastructures development will be an added advantage.

 

Business Development Manager - Dredging Business

Support  strategic Objectives by leading all marketing, business development and sales 
initiatives to identify and develop new accounts and maximize sales with existing accounts.

  • Directly participate in strategic business planning market analysis customer relationship development and contract negotiations for the Company.
  • Identify market opportunities and position the company to take advantage of such opportunities.
  • Develop new market opportunities for additional business volumes coming from current and future operating areas.
  • Analyze tender documents and finalize the tender while ensuring completeness.
  • Ensure all technical contractual, schedule and cost estimation and design engineering input needed to meet tender requirements is collected.
  • Minimum BSc/HND in Geology and/or Engineering related discipline with minimum of 10 years cognate experience in Oil & Gas with at least 5 years in Dredging.
  • Very good knowledge and understanding of the Dredging industry in Nigeria and the basic guiding statutory laws will be an added advantage,
  • Candidates should have strong links to industry and have knowledge of the business drivers for our key markets.
  • Should be vast in initiating strategic business meetings between the prospective clients and Top management of the company.
  • Have good knowledge and understanding of the basic statutory laws and regulations guiding dredging operations in Nigeria.

 

Group Accountant (Marine & Offshore, Dredging, Mining, Construction and Petroleum Product Marketing Businesses)

Lead a large team of Accountants spread across Nigeria and the Middle East operating in different industries as listed above.

  • This role is concerned  with providing a high standard of accurate and timely subsidiary and consolidated accounting and financial information to the Management and  Board of Directors for the purposes of management control and to meet statutory requirements for the Group.
  • The team is also required to deal  quickly and flexibly with ad-hoc requirements  and work to tight deadlines.
  • The role also involves frequent liaison with the Executive Directors acting as Supervising Director for subsidiaries, Group Heads, Clients, regulatory authorities, etc.
  • Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and other statutory requirements in the areas of operation is mandatory.
  • Maintain technical knowledge of IFRS and provide advice on statutory reporting requirements.
  • Required to collate, interpret and analyze Accounting and Financial information and offer regular and timely advice to management on trends, behaviours, reactions and developments with implication for business operations.
  • Minimum 15 years work experience BSc/HND in Accounting and ACA/ACCA qualified, Be IT literate with a good knowledge of Excel.
  • Good working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to details, accuracy, ability to work to tight deadlines, and analytical ability.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with accounting software packages Like Sun system, etc

 

 

Senior General Manager - Marine Business

To oversee the Marine and Offshore Operations Business with current fleet of 13 vessels and with potential to grow to 40 vessels in 5 years. Will be responsible for managing the day to day activities (support and operations) of the marine and offshore interests of the company and provide feedback to the Executive Director regarding technical operations, administration & logistics, and management of the marine fleet operations.

  • The responsibilities include management of the marine strategic business expansion and acquisition of marine fleet, client services, crew management, technical maintenance and commercial contracts management and ensure 90% availability of vessels and equipment.
  • The focus is on strategic, tactical, and long term operations management.
  • Create Business development / Marketing materials where appropriate to support the Business development / Marketing activities.
  • Minimum 15 years (of which ten (10) years of specific maritime operations experience is mandatory) of brood  knowledge and experience of technical marine fleet operations, management, operation of commercial vessels, shipping agency activities, vessel husbanding, cost control, supervision of personnel, repair procedures and customer relations.
  • A degree in business administration, marine operations or related field is required.

Technical Dredging Superintendent

Supervise the technical dredging crew. Coordinate the operation, maintenance and repair of dredging vessels and repairing and Maintaining Mechanical Equipment – Servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts.

  • Ensure coherence and optimal functioning of the activities of all project team members  check and confirm of variations in the scope of work.
  • Check and confirm planning and subsequent budget implications - check and confirm the execution of project quality and HSE policy.
  • Monitor optimal usage functioning and doily production of company equipments in close cooperation and consultation with the dredging crew.
  • Provide daily reports to the Executive Director on milestones, work/ done, progress, budget, issues and planning.
  • Identity risks and appropriate mitigations; escalate if necessary.
  • Minimum BSc/HND Marine Engineering or related discipline.
  • At least 10 years cognate experience.
  • Significant experience in project performance analysis project management, track record of managing dredging projects and basic knowledge of contracting methods and contract administration.

 

Technical Assistant/Business Analyst

Must be able to learn and adapt quickly to gain understanding of business process management and business requirements, identify and analyze problem areas and suggest recommendations or solutions for it. Initiate investigations into reaction to business environment and results, investigate the business systems and come up with options to improve the standards.

  • Coordinate the development, amendment, Implementation, monitoring and analysis of business plans, strategies and performance measurement system.
  • The successful candidate will  possess strong technical and analytical skills coupled with business intelligence.
  • Professional skills to understand the technical design along with the design specification.
  • Hands on experience to deal with business specification and convert them to system specifications.
  • Excellent analytical skills to carry out requirement analysis to match with the business specification needs of the company.
  • Excellent decision making  and information technology skills.
  • Must hold HND/BSc Degree in Social Sciences or Engineering related discipline. MBA/MSc will be an added advantage.
  • Work experience of at least 5 years in a highly pressurized environment.

 

 

Trader - Downstream Petroleum Products (DPP)

This position manages major Downstream Petroleum Products (DPP) purchasing activity and formulates market strategy to identify and act upon supply chain opportunities focusing on asset optimization,

  • Accountable for consistently meeting targeted DPP delivery schedules, profitability and optimization targets,
  • Coordinates logistics arrangements with logistics team to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of DPP Prepare and present monthly forecasts and purchase price variance analysis.
  • Conduct day – to – day activities of DPP trading by tracking and monitoring market movements; accountable for making instant decision on selling and buying for meeting profitability and optimization targets;
  • Negotiates contracts for purchase/sale of DPP.
  • Negotiate and conclude market transactions on a spot/term basis according to guidelines given.
  • Interact with company management involved in the trading/commercial activity.
  • Execute hedging strategies and develop analytical reports to assist in taking hedging decisions.
  • Support trading strategies by using fundamental model analysis or trades with reputable counterparties that are back to back in nature.
  • Minimum BSc/HND in business, Finance, marketing, economics, accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years related experience in petroleum products supply and oil & gas trading required. Having penchant for undertaking analysis, mathematics, tracking and reporting skills.

 

Commercial Manager-Shipping

Ensure a timely response to all client's enquiries - 1st point of contact, 10 create the program of work for production from agreed contracts and to organize the initial work packages and its dissemination.

  • Managing the Shipyard bidding process and procedures including all quotations at all stages,
  • Ensure vessel specifications are complete to ensure that the quotation is commercially / technically viable.
  • Discuss the work required to be performed by a range of Subcontractors and issue "legally risk free" work orders to them,
  • Ensure that an effective "Risk Control" is in place and reviewed for applicability to each contract (Insurance / T & C's / Liability etc.),
  • Raise invoices and follow through to ensure timely settlement, chasing clients where necessary,
  • Oversee all commercial contracts with major clients / JV's to ensure Legal Consistency and liability coverage as well as company input and controls and actions - for company profit.
  • Oversee all commercial contracts placed on "Professional Service Co." which are to be used by Shipyard.
  • To ensure that the maximum cost/values are, Understanding and following the agreed goals and annual targets for the position,
  • Minimum 10 years' experience as a shipyard manager or other management level responsibilities in a heavy steel manufacturing environment, Oil & Gas background, in depth knowledge of all business functions associated with shipyard management.

 

Quantity Surveyor-Construction Business (Road and Infrastructure)

Review and make necessary recommendations on client and contractor's valuation & claims and assist with the preparation and clarification of payments with clients and contractors will all supporting documents.

  • Ensure prompt submittal and completeness of valuations,
  • Review and record measure of work done, materials on site against delivery notes.
  • Prepare variations and day works, cost estimates.
  • Make input into the preparation of the final account and monthly financial statements,
  • Knowledgeable with quantification of materials related to an operation at Asphalt plants, Crushers, Quality control etc.
  • Monitor contracts final cost estimates.
  • Liaise with departments in all financial and contractual matters throughout the course of all contracts,
  • Minimum B.sc/HND in Civil Engineering/Quantity Surveying and any related discipline, He or she must be a registered Quantity Surveyor with NIQS Seal and Minimum of 10 years cognate work experience, of which 5 years must be on road and highway Projects,

 

 

Chief Engineer - Dredging Operation

Directs activities of the Engineering department and is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair/overhauling of all mechanical electrical, auxiliary, and miscellaneous equipment, As well as scheduled and preventative maintenance  and supervising engine room crew,

  • Allocates resources in order to accomplish engineering support goals,
  • Ensure sufficient fuel, spares etc are held on board to sustain at least 24 hours continuous operations,
  • Maintain a high standard of engineering efficiency and reliability throughout all the dredge vessel, electrical, mechanical and hydraulic system, assemblies, and equipment.
  • Undertake planned maintenance system duties.
  • Record, monitor and maintain accurate fuel, oil and lubricants usage.
  • Supervises engine crew and coordinates doily engine operation and equipment repairs/overhauling.
  • Maintains all dredge and supporting equipment in operating condition and ensures repairs are made by crew or outside source on a timely basis.
  • Tracks daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports and inspections.
  • Maintain records of repairs, Maintains inventory of and orders spore parts.
  • Tracks and orders fuel, oil, and water.
  • Monitors all mechanical and electrical components on the dredge.
  • Enforces safety rules and regulations, Initiates corrective and preventive actions to ensure goals are met.
  • Minimum of  BSc/HND in Marine/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering 15 years’ experience in marine engineering, including supervisory experience, dredging experience is mandatory.
