PROJECT MANAGER

Company Profile: The Company is a market leader in the West Africanfood sector. They operate world-class, quick service restaurant (QSR) brands including various outlets as well as a fine-dining Thai fusion restaurant. To facilitate backward and forward integration strategies, the group also comprises a Bakery (includes 9 plant bakeries) and Free Range Farms (a state-of-the-art poultry farm and poultry processing plant)

 

Job summary:

Responsible for coordinating the designing, evaluation and execution of the buildings and infrastructure setup of the QSR site in accordance with the defined project requirements, operating policies and principles and responsible for providing regulatory interface and infrastructure support in the setup of the QSR Site

 

Key Responsibilities:

1)         Strategy

a.    Align to the Company’s strategy in terms of business model and site selection /development

b.    Responsible for obtaining relevant approvals and permits required to validate each site before acquisition and development.

c.    Develop and manage national market area mapping for each financial year in line with Company strategy

d.    Develop operational matrix for monitoring the success of acquisition each profitable sites and project as required by the company.

2)         Facilities Management

a.    Responsible for Liaising /negotiating with building or developing contractors &consultants in conjunction with the technical partners throughout the life span of each project.

b.    Responsible for obtaining relevant approvals and permits required to validate each site.

c.    Responsible for the development of all acquired sites according to standards and specifications

a.    Provide regulatory compliance frameworks for all business managers.

b.    Align with territorial governments’ rules on environmental, business operations and safety requirements.

d.    Supervise and coordinate all maintenance service and repairs pertaining to the company’s premises, building and related equipment’s.

3)         Compliance

a.    Ensure adequate compliance to all company policies, internal control processes and approved processes

b.    Ensure compliance with territorial governments’ judgments, statutes and laws while acquiring and developing sites

c.    Ensure employees and expatriates are aware of the laws of the government and that they comply adequately thereafter avoiding company representation of defaults.

d.    Ensure proper management and adequate solution of all community constraints encountered while developing sites in an ethical and respectful approach.

4)       Operations

a.    Responsible for Liaising /negotiating with building or development contractors &consultants in conjunction with the COO throughout the life span of each project

b.    Responsible for the development of all acquired sites according to standards and specifications

c.    Review and seek approvals for all architectural proposals and drawings of all sites

 

Educational Qualifications/Experience:

1)    Minimum of university degree or equivalent

2)    Minimum of 5 years working experience in a marketing and administrative functions

 

 

HEAD CENTRAL KITCHEN

Job summary:

Achieve goals and objectives through the successful management of the Central Processing Unit that consists of a Spices Processing Plant, Recipes Plant in the short, medium to Long Term period.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1.   Strategy Development,Planning & Reporting

§ Develop, refine and secure the buy – in of management, partners and all operators into an effective Central Processing System that supports the company’s businesses in the areas of Chicken Recipes Processing Plants and a Blending Plant.

§ Leading and directing the operations of each production unit ensuring agreed production efficiencies are achieved and the ongoing profitability is optimized.

§ continuously improving operating efficiencies and structuring to meet the changing demands of the market

2.   Implementation and Business Development

§ Estimates quantities of outputs required for flagship businesses or brands’ inputs and order raw materials, supplies, and equipment’s needed

§ Directs and coordinates activities of processing plants: contacts buyers/restaurants to arrange for purchasing or delivering of finished recipes, or other raw materials for production.

§ Effective Stock management (raw material, packaging and finished goods and wastage)

3.   Ownership, Management and Leadership

§ Ensuring effective management and leadership of individuals and teams (coaching, training and development, recruitment, succession planning)

§ Liaising with principle suppliers and protecting relationship that will optimize Company Goals & objectives

§ Drive Revenue Assurance and cost of sales to minimize potential margin compression

§ Ability to analyze complex problem situations and design effective remedial solutions

Functional Competencies/Requirements:

1)    Experienced in managing a profitable Central Processing Unit

2)    Familiar with the Recipes Industry Trends

4)    Process Management, Knowledge and Application

Educational Qualifications/Experience:

1)    Minimum of university degree

2)    Minimum of 8 years working experience in a Central Processing Unit

3)    Managing a Central Kitchen/Processing plant at senior level (Operations Manager/GM)

 

 

 

HEAD FRANCHISE DEVELOPMENT

Job summary

1)   Lead and direct the franchise arm of the business in developing and implementing business strategies aimed at driving franchise unit volume growth through internal development (existing franchise expansion) and external (new) franchise sales, whilst also ensuring consistent delivery on the promise of the brand

2)   Make a recognized difference to the Franchise team culture and results by creating and leading a team environment of action, strategic clarity, simplicity, and loyalty.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1)   Brand Ownership and Stewardship

a)   Serve as the knowledge centre, chief correspondent, synergist and evangelist for the brand across Africa

b)   Provide leadership and coaching in all phases of restaurant operations and general business matters by providing expertise to franchise partners in their quest to build restaurant sales and profits, while adding value to the franchised brand.

c)    Identify& implement at least one initiative annually aimed at improving the efficiency, operations and financial standing of franchisees within the network

 

2)   Strategy Development, Planning & Reporting

a)   Develop, refine and secure the buy-in of management, operators and all partners into an effective African franchise growth and development strategy. Such strategy is to be cascaded into quantifiable objectives to aid measurement of the results from its implementation.

b)   Identify the future impact on the wider franchise business, prepare and manage appropriate risk analyses and mitigation/contingency plans

c)    Collect, organize and present hospitality industry information to Management to assisting making informed decisions regarding franchise growth opportunities

 

3)   Strategy Implementation, Communication and Feedback/Business Development

a)   Develop, customize (to suit each market in which the company and its Brands operate),deploy and constantly update ready-to-go toolkits and templates to drive the activities of the Franchise department. The underlying philosophy in developing these toolkits and templates shall be ease of deployment/implementation, standardization and cost-effectiveness and shall include but not be limited tothe following:

·        Criteria for evaluation of new franchisees

·        Brand Operations Manual

·        Development/standardization of initial/on-going Training Programmes for new & existing franchisees
