Senior Audit Manager (Corporate / Commercial Banking)

Position Description

The Senior Audit Manager will lead the robust audit risk assessment of:
•  Commercial  / Corporate Banking including Credit;
•  Trade and Receivable Finance (TRF), 
•  Asset management including Payments and Cash Management (PCM) and 
•  Branch Internal Financial Controls. 

This involves the identification and evaluation of top level risks; the design of workable audit steps to enable the testing of controls against identified risks; the completion of audit fieldwork including the identification of possible issues and root causes, and the presentation of issues and management action plans to address risk.   


RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead the preparation of/ prepare individual audit plans to ensure that the scope, approach, resourcing and logistics of an audit are appropriately planned. 
• Assists in the development of the annual audit plan and supports completion of the plan. 
• Grades the materiality of audit findings, identifies root causes and assesses the overall control risk and management awareness within the auditee business. 
• Leads and motivates an effective team which completes audit work to a high standard and at all times maintains professional and constructive working relationships with auditee management. 
• Cascades functional strategy and operational goals, and gains commitment to them. 
• Maintains leading edge knowledge of best practice within audit, financial services and in the risk environment.

Manager, Financial Risk & Capital Management

Position Description

•  Assist Financial Managers develop, initiate and maintain financial policies and procedures;
•  Maintenance of adequate capital in accordance with regulatory requirements;
•  Optimisation of capital structure, ensuring appropriate balance between tier I and tier II capital to ensure maximisation of RoE; 
•  Capital management planning and forecasting, ensuring both local and SARB requirements are met;
•  Support ALCO in achieving appropriate balance sheet structures so as to balance capital requirements and returns.



Key result areas:

•  Financial compliance
o Ensure there are appropriate financial policies and procedures  guiding all functions in finance;
o Review all new products and processes to determine any financial compliance impact;
o Lead the finance team in preparing the financial risk dashboard, and review and report on corrective actions taken monthly;
o Carry out a monthly balance sheet compliance review to ensure that compliance owners are adhering to set policies and frameworks;
o Conduct periodic training in finance to ensure that line managers are aware of their roles and responsibilities as first line of defence.   

•  Capital Management
o Embed the capital management  process into the bank’s strategic planning/ budgeting and forecasting processes to address potential business growth constraints as well as regulatory issues; 
o Drive the  annual capital planning process, including determining appropriate capital buffers and preparing dividend proposals for management review;
o Drive the implementation of best practice in capital management practices such as ICAAP (International Capital Adequacy Assessment program).

•  Regulatory Reporting
o Preparation and timeous submission of regulatory returns in accordance with Central Bank of Nigeria and South African Reserve Bank regulations.
o Monitoring of the legal lending limit, ensuring that this is not breached.
o Keep the bank up to date on regulatory changes (Basel  and other capital management related)

e-Business Sales Executive

 

Position Description

Main Purpose of the Job


•Identifying sales opportunities for e-business solutions
•Ensuring that the best solutions are given to the client in a value adding way
•Generating leads and cross selling other Retail Products where required


Key Responsibilities


•Mine existing CIB & Retail client base for new business leads
•Working with the Relationship Team (Corporate Banking Coverage and Business Bankers) to prospect opportunities for the deployment of e-Business solutions to new and existing Clients within a defined segment
•Preparation and Presentation of e-Business Solutions to prospective Clients

•Liaising with the respective Product Teams to provide inputs where a customized solution design is required to meet the unique needs of the Corporate

•Initiating and preparation of motivation for client on pricing and concessions for all e-Business solutions
•Develop customer relationships and proactively leverage relationships to establish loyalty and cross sell products other Retail Products

Manager, Taxation

Position Description

Management and control of the banks taxation affairs


Key result areas:

Taxation
•  Manage compliance with tax law in Stanbic IBTC Group and all tax aspects including, corporate  tax transfer pricing, withholding taxes, indirect taxes, PAYE and tax planning.
•  Monitor tax compliance within the Group.
•  Identification and evaluation of taxation risks within the Group.
•  Implementation of systems and processes to monitor and mitigate identified taxation risks.
•  Preparation of monthly and annual taxation computations and returns.
•  New and existing product evaluation to determine taxation impact.
•  Custodian of Group transfer pricing policy, responsible for ensuring that policy is up to date and appropriate agreements and approvals are in  place to ensure compliance
•  Optimisation of Group taxation expense, by identifying areas of tax Savings
•  Manage the relationship and participate in selection of external taxation consultants
•  Analysing DTA’s with the aim of effectively using them on cross- border transactions
•  Improve taxation knowledge within the Group through communication and tax training where appropriate
