HEAD ENTERPRISE SOLUTION

Core Job Functions / Responsibility:

Oversee the design and implementation of enterprise solutions/applications and provide operational business information for day-to-day running of the business.

Provide overall guidance and direction in the execution of the functions and activities of the Enterprise Solutions unit.

Primary activities

TACTICAL

·         Provide input in the definition of IT policies, projects and service levels.

·         Provide input in the development of the applications strategy and plan in line with overall IT strategy and the company’s needs and objectives.

·         Assist the Director, IT Strategy, Planning and Architecture in communicating the division’s strategic direction and objectives to all staff.

·         Coordinate the development of policies, processes and procedures for the design, deployment and integration of enterprise solutions/applications.

·         Keep abreast of global and local best practice as it relates to the team/ function’s activities.

·         Continuously review the unit/ team’s activities, make recommendations for improvement and implement approved improvement initiatives to ensure enhanced performance of the team.

·         Identify required resources, personnel, funding to achieve the unit/ function’s strategy.

·         Establish and maintain relationship with key internal and external stakeholders.

 

OPERATIONAL

·         Coordinate the day-to-day activities of the unit.

·         Liaise with user departments to determine the enterprise solution needs of the organization.

·         Ensure alignment of identified enterprise solution(s) with the business and IT strategy.

·         Coordinate detailed preliminary review of new/proposed enterprise solution, to determine alignment with business and IT strategy.

·         Oversee the identification and documentation of user requirements for new enterprise solution.

·         Coordinate the documentation of Request for Proposal/Request for Quotation for new enterprise solution based on user requirements.

·         Participate in the evaluation and selection of vendors for deployment of enterprise solution.

·         Oversee the solution development life cycle, ensuring compliance with specified standards, procedures and methodologies.

·         Liaise with Program Managers to coordinate the development and implementation of project plans and timelines, to meet enterprise solutions needs.

·         Oversee user acceptance testing and go-live of new enterprise solutions in liaison with relevant business teams.

·         Oversee post implementation review of deployed enterprise solution and ensure timely and effective resolution of issues.

·         Provide support and expertise in the deployment of off-the-shelve software applications.

·         Ensure adequate user training on new enterprise solutions.

·         Ensure adequate post-implementation support for deployed solutions in liaison with user support team.

·         Coordinate continuous evaluation of system performance in order to ensure continuing relevance of enterprise solutions provided.

·         Ensure the availability of documented policies and procedures/user guide for newly developed enterprise solutions

·         Oversee deployment of patches and upgrades to installed enterprise solutions.

·         Manage relationships with third party IT vendors/suppliers.

·         Keep self and teams abreast of business process changes and proactively identify and develop solutions to ensure optimization of technology in business processes.

·         Implement the function’s work programs and plans in line with agreed upon procedures and guidelines.

·         Plan and manage the human and material resources of the team/ function to optimize performance, morale and enhance productivity.

·         Manage inter-functional relations to ensure synergy across the various departmental functions

·         Provide leadership and guidance to team members and manage subordinates’ performance towards the achievement of overall team objectives

·         Monitor and control the budgetary needs of the unit/function.

·         Prepare/compile agreed periodic activity and performance reports for the attention of the Director, IT Strategy, Planning and Architecture.

·         Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director, Strategy, Planning and Architecture

 

Job Requirements and Skills

Graduate Qualifications: A First degree from a recognized University REQUIRED.

Post Graduate Qualifications: Post Graduate Degree Technology and MBA is of ADVANTAGE

Experience: 11 to 14 years work experience with at least 5 years at managerial position (NYSC is ESSENTIAL.

Certifications and Training Requirements: Relevant IT Certifications (CISCO, JAVA etc.) is of ADVANTAGE.

Core Job Functions / Responsibility:

Work with Manager, ERP in the design and implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems by IT vendors.

 

Primary activities

·         Assist in the identification of user requirements for new ERP systems.

·         Participate in the documentation of Request for Proposal/Request for Quotation for new ERP systems based on user requirements.

·         Support Manager, ERP managing all projects relating to the deployment of new ERP Modules to ensure achievement of corporate objectives.

·         Assist in providing advisory support in the implementation and integration of new ERP and collaboration systems.

·         Facilitate user acceptance testing in liaison with relevant business teams.

·         Provide support in go-live of new ERP and collaboration systems.

·         Assist in facilitating user training on new ERP and collaboration systems.

HEAD, IT TECHNICAL OPERATIONS

Core Job Functions / Responsibility:

Oversee the provision of hands-on technical support on all IT related issues (hardware, software and network related) to end users across the organization.

 

Primary activities

TACTICAL

·         Assist the CIO in communicating the division’s strategic direction and objectives to all staff and translate the strategy into specific deliverables for the unit.

·         Assist in the definition of IT strategies, plans, policies, projects and service levels.

·         Develop policies, processes and procedures that ensure incident management and control and define how IT related issues are identified, received, documented and corrected.

·         Keep abreast of global and local best practice as it relates to the unit’s activities.

ü  Software installation and configuration e.g. client applications, anti-virus utilities, printer drivers, etc.

·         Coordinate the activities of the IT helpdesk and ensure adherence to defined policies and procedures.

·         Coordinate the maintenance of error logs and ensure that appropriate steps are taken to facilitate speedy resolution of recurring service requests.

·         Coordinate the periodic analysis of issues and requests to identify frequently recurring issues and facilitate their speedy/efficient resolution

·         Ensure the escalation of irresolvable issues to relevant specialists in other units e.g. LAN/WAN and hardware operational problems to Network and Infrastructure Support team; enterprise solutions-related issues to Enterprise Solution support team.

·         Provide input on possible enhancements to existing systems/ products, based on user queries/ feedback.

·         Provide input into the selection of end user hardware and software based on knowledge of technical issues associated with the proposed brands.

·         Coordinate the activities of external vendors for asset maintenance and repair.

·         Keep abreast of new end user technologies and apply knowledge to EMTS.

·         Assist in the development of a proactive maintenance cycle for data storage systems and automate preventive/routine maintenance on data storage systems with detailed scheduled maintenance reports.

·         Maintain and update data storage systems.

·         Perform data backup and ensure that backed-up data can be restored as required.

Supervise and maintain repository of CRM solutions and provide operational support in the management and maintenance of CRM solutions.

Primary activities
