Responsible for selling of Online advertising space (on Web and Mobile) for our partners which include a leading Telco to advertising agencies and direct clients in Nigeria

Summary:

Wild Fusion is looking for an Online or Digital sales Manager with a strong advertising/digital background to take up the challenge of monetizing digital or online advertising opportunities. Kindly note this role is a highly performance based role which is salaried and commission based.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Selling online or digital advertising against set targets on a monthly basis.
  • Compile sales presentations of proposals set around relevant brand features, sales strategies or client needs and presenting this to clients.
  • To have the ability to independently sell through-the-line in order to meet and exceed advertising targets as set out by management each month.
  • To attend weekly sales meetings and/or conference calls with Partners in order to monitor targets and feedback on the status of all clients.
  • Understand and extract useful statistics in order to compile meaningful reports to management and/or presentations to clients. 
  • Individually develop a comprehensive sales strategy for your portfolio to achieve targets.
  • Sell online/digital proposals to clients and or advertising for special projects or supplements when required.
  • Regular communication with an existing client base and canvassing of new clients.
  • To be creative and innovative in attracting new advertisers and media agencies.
  • To approach all potential clients relevant to the portfolio, and do regular personal presentations.
  • Setup and manage a team of advertising sales executives.
  • To create a list of all potential advertisers and continually updating it.
  • To ensure key advertisers commit to long-term annual contracts. 
  • To be able to manage and service a portfolio of advertising revenue, which is split by client but is focused on building relationships with both agency and client
  •  This person needs to be able to build good working relationships with advertisers and agencies at a senior level.
  • Develop and maintain a database of all clients' info. 
  • Ensure that all booking forms and processes are in place, signed off and correct payment terms and discount structures are adhered to with clients.
  •  Ensure a clear understanding of company booking terms and conditions
  •  A commercial understanding of rates + offerings and discount structure allowed.
  • Feedback of any industry information or product information to management and editorial team that could benefit the reader.
  • Utilise research tools (Amps, Adex) to develop meaningful sales strategies, new ideas and commercial advertising opportunities for the brand.
  • Maintain associated visibility through newsletters, social networks with clients and agencies (supported by regular visits etc).

  • Professional and passionate about  digital and advertising concepts
  • Strong network in the advertising and media circle.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  •  Proactive, motivated and enthusiastic 
  •  Presentation and relationship building skills 
  •  Analytical mind and figure orientated
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently within a team
  • Tertiary qualification in sales and marketing an advantage
  • Two years relevant advertising sales experience an advantage
  • Established client relationships at a senior level
  • Computer literate: good understanding of applications such as Excel (graphs/formulas), PowerPoint, Adex, AMPS.
  • Able to attend client functions during and after hours
