Senior Buyer/Contract Administrator


Essential Responsibilities:

*Reviews, evaluates, and monitors department purchase requisitions for proper authorization, specifications, and legal compliance; takes responsibility for procuring appropriate items or services; creates and reviews purchase orders; researches and resolves receiving and accounts payable issues; inputs, edits, and retrieves purchasing data; disburses and maintains files related to purchase orders and purchasing; maintains other department files including those pertaining to vendors, bids, quotes, and other correspondence.
* Negotiate price, delivery and terms on equipment/service purchases.
* Document savings; participate in development of strategic sourcing plans for the business.
* Provide status and expedite as required.
* Looks after supplier receivables improvement.
*Responsible with developing compliance culture in the geography they are responsible for.
* Support to assess supplier capabilities and make recommendations on supplier acceptability.
* Implement sourcing standards including process & execution, with special focus on cost out/productivity initiatives & on-.time delivery optimization;
* Understand strategies for assigned commodities and drive initiatives to meet Sourcing objectives under coordination of Sourcing Leader
* Manage medium complexity issues within functional area of expertise to meet business KPIs in line with Sourcing objectives
*Provide coordination and leadership in procurement activities
* Perform continuous market analysis and monitor supplier progress



* Diploma or Bachelor degree.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in sourcing/purchasing in areas related to power generation equipment, Oil & Gas, construction, software, hardware or services.
* Excellent communication skills; must have excellent written and verbal English language skills;
* Strong financial skills.

Hub Leader 


The dual role of Hub Leader for indirect sourcing and commodity leader -Automotive, needs to demonstrate leadership qualities, in communicating business goals, programs and process with different stakeholders within GE. In this role you will use your experience and expertise to understand, develop and implement strategies to support various businesses in the region. Also support the commodity leaders and lead a team of buyers to fulfill all the sourcing activities.

Role Objectives

- Systematic assessment of suppliers’ assets and capabilities and development and/or sustenance of mechanisms with a view to maximizing this to achieve GE’s overall strategic objective

- To identify and maximize cost saving opportunities around assigned commodity/commodities with the objective of reducing spend and increasing profit

- To provide strategic support to in-country sourcing teams, GE employees and Businesses

- To develop, manage and execute the indirect sourcing strategy in Nigeria.

- To identify and maximize cost saving through tactical and strategic sourcing initiatives in support of GE production facilities, sales teams and other GE business sectors

- Hub level supplier and contract, policies, processes and standards performance evaluation and improvement on a local level.

Key Deliverables

1.Lead the local sourcing team to provide indirect requirements to end-users in the various GE businesses

2.Work to manage hub spend and determine opportunities for cost reduction

3.Advise on local supplier network capabilities, commodity/ spend category trends and industry best practices

4.Assist in establishing sources for new markets, products, services and technologies as local business requirements dictate.

5.Take the lead in developing, communicating and implementing global/regional commodity and sourcing strategies locally to achieve corporate business objectives

6.Develop and implement an efficient system for monitoring buyer’s activities – turnaround time, customer service etc.

7.Build strong, value-adding relationships with GCLs, suppliers, internal customers and cross-functional departments

8.Monitor supplier performance against contracted MSAs and SLAs and advise affected GCLs; monitor active/inactive MSAs

9.Monitor sourcing category reporting to identify non-compliant purchases and partner with relevant business units to educate and raise awareness on appropriate, compliant process(es) for purchasing needed goods/services

10.Manage directly or assist in managing sourcing projects

11.Organize trainings for buyers, expeditors and other team members to address skill gaps

12.Work collaboratively and proactively with GCLs and other cross-functional teams to identify process, sourcing and contract improvement opportunities.

Key Deliverables

Supplier & Commodity Management
1) Define assigned commodity within the scope of the Sub-Saharan Africa business and GE corporate environment
2) Understand assigned commodity in the areas of availability, practicality, GE consumption pattern and spend history
3) Identify best suppliers (considering cost and quality) for commodity per country or location while maintaining a practical, manageable pool of suppliers
4) Coordinate supplier selection, qualification (due diligence, risk assessment), on-boarding, re-classification and off-boarding
5) Develop and/or maintain an efficient system to track, measure, report and eval



Experience: Min 5 years experience in managing a fleet services company and Adminstrative Manager

- Keen understanding of sourcing ERPs, and cost, quantitative and qualitative analysis, contract, time , self and people management principles

- Keen understanding of applicable GE policies, local laws and regulations

- Keen understanding of local markets and GE end-user population

- Effective oral & written communication skills

- A knack for computers, allied systems & hands-on use of any applications/ERP

- Ability to analyze & compile information to make decisions or prepare reports.

- Excellent team leader and player, with good leadership qualities, with a knack for innovation

Clinical Education Specialist, CT 

Clinical Education Specialist, will perform quality training to customers for CT systems, upgrades, as well as delivering Continuous Clinical Education for Africa customers and when specifically needed, throughout EAGM.

Essential Responsibilities:

Conduct high quality Clinical Education training at customer sites, to ensure customer's safe and
effective use of GE equipments, maximising image quality and productivity.
* Apply all procedures requested by Clinical Education management (Coordination process, Visit
preparation, Field Visit Report, Debrief, Survey etc.).
* Pro-actively escalate customer issues and needs to the relevant level in the organization.
* Provide in-depth presentation and demonstration to the user for specific Products & Services.
* Develop content and deliver Classroom courses at the regional Customer Training facility.
* Participate in Clinical Education initiatives such as Doctor to Doctor and Immersion classes
* When requested, provide support for congresses, road shows, exhibitions, and user meetings
* When requested, provide on-line application (OLA) support as a backup to the regular OLA team.
* Comply with the Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Policies and applicable laws and regulations
* Maintain an effective Quality System and comply with the requirements of the Quality Policy and
documented processes



* Radiographer degree, or PhD in bio-sciences, or Biomedical Engineering school,
* Practical experience of Digital Radiology in a clinical environment
* Experience in conducting research in Digital Radiology / CT or other imaging modality
* Knowledge of GE’s or competitor’s Digital Radiology / CT products
* Previous experience as an Application Specialist / CT in another company
* Ability to travel and be at customer sites 70 to 80% of the working time (annual average)
* Fluent in English
* Practical experience in at least one major Medical Imaging Modality & CT
* Teaching skills or teaching experience
* Presentation skills
* Computer skills (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, notions of Linux
