Operations Executive

 

Job description

As the Operations Executive for Montgomery West Africa you will be responsible for

- Accurate and timely registrations for visitors, delegates, exhibitors, sponosors and press at our events which include training programmes, workshops, conferences, expos and exhibitions

- Onsite event management (onsite branding, staging, AV&Technical productions)

- Management and production of event floorplans

- Accurately coding and invoicing clients

- Making payments to suppliers

- Sourcing suppliers

Ensure

- team is following adminsitrative proceses for finance and expense management

- all events meet health and safety standards

- we secure event tenancy and ensure good relationship with venues and suppliers for our event productions in a timely manner and to budget

- we have a competitively priced and reliable supplier database for our event productions

- all key contracts for events are properly filed and accessible to relevant team members

Manage

- filing and records management for events

- office (cleaning, fumigation, servicing and maintenance, stationery, furniture, electricity, machinery and equipment is properly serviced and functionign

- storage and iteminsing event collateral and branded materials

- logistics for team and clients including (car, driver, transportation and accommodation for overseas team and clients)

- speaker presentations, travel and acommodation, visa and logistics to and from event

Necessary qualifications

- Degree

- Literate and proficient in English (written and spoken)

- Fluency in written and oral French is a bonus

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Powerpoing, Excel, Word, Outlook)

Marketing and Partnerships Executive

 

Job description

As the Marketing and Partnerships Executive you will have responsibility for successfully marketing Montgomery Events to our target audience. You will also be responsible for securing support and buy in from key government, membership and media organisations who will provide Montgomery West Africa and our clients with access to their target audience.

This will be a central role within the organisation and will require you to work across the teams in different countries as well as in Nigeria.

Your ability to quickly assimilate information, and understand Montgomery West Africa's goals and strategies and then translate these into a coherent marketing and partnerships plan/schedule will be central to the success of our events.

You will be presentable, well spoken, organised and mature. Your experience should be in Customer Services, Public Relations, Brand Management or Business Development. You are reliable with a strong sense of your own personal brand and professionalism and you find that people warm quickly to you and that you have a good network of business professionals across media, marketing, branding in Nigeria.

The role will require face to face meetings, proposal writing, presentations and cold-calling, you should be comfortable liaising with C-level executives, directors and key decision makers and influencers across industry.

You have a highly developed sense of key account management and are comfortable meeting clear targets and goals.

Your ability to communicate effectively at all different levels and present complex ideas in simple way to secure support will be central in this role.

The job requires a great deal of energy, drive passion as well attention to detail, and excellent communication skills

Key duties:

Secure partnership agreements with relevant media, government, membership associations

Secure speaker participation with relevant partners

Provide updated records on key influencers and opinion leaders in target sectors in which Montgomery West Africa operations

Drive stakholder engagement and support across Sectors in which Montgomery West Africa operates

Brief Montgomery West Africa sales and production themes on key drivers, news and issues in our target industries

Desired Skills and Experience

- Degree (2.1) minimum

- Professional diploma and/or trainign certificate in PR, Marketing, Government Relations

- Marketing and /or branding experience

- Driver with own car

- Ability and flexibility to travel locally and internationally

- Presentation experience

- Proposal writing

- Sales experience

- Strong communication skills

- Strong network of media, branding and marketing professionals and organisations

- Strong network of Marketing Directors, Managing Directors and board level members across Nigerian industries (Banking, Oil&Gas, Telco, FMCG, Luxury and Retail, Construction, Architecture, Design and Manufacturing)

- Good contacts and experience in dealing with membership organisations and public sector organisations

- Public speaking experience

- Agency or marketing experience

- Loyal, entrepreneurial, hardworking and flexible

- Honesty and strong business ethics

- Tolerant of other cultures, faiths, outlooks and lifestyles (non-judgemental)

- Results-driven
