Urgent Requirement

Job description

WTS Energy is seeking to hire a Planner Materials Engineer for one of its client who is an international Oil & Gas operating company. 

The responsibilities for Planner Materials include but are not limited to the following,

  • Develop and maintain specific materials planning, scheduling and reporting procedures to align with the Facilities Integrated Planning System.
  • Prepare and maintain updated procurement, expediting and delivery plans, as well as resourced detailed schedules, for all Facilities projects requiring MC services, based on the current Facilities Technical Work Plan (FTWP).
  • Perform resource loading and generate reports as required.
  • Monitor actual versus planned progress against approved (base lined) detailed schedules. Prepare forecasts and highlight / resolve areas of concern and prepare appropriate recovery plans.
  • Identify critical paths and analyse and propose improvements to schedules.
  • Produce weekly and monthly Project Progress reports, look ahead and ad-hoc reports, as requested by the Manager Materials & Contracts.
  • Review & audit contractors / suppliers planning procedures, reports and schedules.
  • Provide leave cover for other Planners as required

Requirements

  • University Degree engineering or other relevant discipline discipline, although lower qualifications can be accepted where experience levels are demonstrably high and appropriate to job requirements
  • Full membership of a relevant International Institution preferred, but not essential
  • Minimum of 8-years relevant experience within the Upstream Oil and Gas Industry, either within SCM and / or engineering, preferably with at least 2 years in a material-related planning position.
  • Sound multi-discipline knowledge of materials and equipment used in the Upstream Oil and Gas industry.
  • Experience of planning, scheduling and tracking progress of material procurement, expediting and delivery activities.
  • Proficient in MSProject/Word/Excel/Powerpoint

Head,Planning Engineering

WTS Energy is seeking to hire a Planning Engineer for one of its client who is an international Oil & Gas operating company. 

The responsibilities for Planning Engineer include but are not limited to the following,

  • Support maintenance and production operations, offshore and onshore for all maintenance planning matters.
  • Will be required to travel to each of the locations as and when required to integrate with the field maintenance teams.
  • To provide comprehensive and integrated planning/system services in support of Production activities.
  • Produce weekly and monthly reports.
  • Co-ordinate Asset Integrity activities, operate and update the AI Plan.
  • Coordinate the monthly IOP meeting in the company and produce report for circulation.
  • Co-ordinate the CMMS, spares, materials, resources and logistics requirements to support the maintenance requirements both onshore and offshore.
  • Implement a planning regime for planned and breakdown activities into a 90-day activity plan, 12 month look-ahead and 5 year long term plan.
  • Produce the Shutdown Plan and all associated reporting, including progress reports and S-curves
  • Produce detail equipment plans for all production equipment in the locations.
  • Develop a functional asset register and a program of recertification in line with DPR requirements for implementation.
  • Set KPI’s for equipment and contractor based on availability of equipment and performance of contractor.
  • Monitor and analyse the performance of plants and equipment and use results in advising Operations staff and Management on maintenance schedules and the adequacy, or otherwise, of existing maintenance job routines.
  • Advise operations staff on maintenance planning premises and compliance with planned maintenance schedules in order to achieve minimum life cycle cost for assets without compromising operational and safety standards.
  • To plan, organize and monitor both routine and non-routine maintenance with a view to achieving optimum utilization of assets at minimum asset life cycle costs while ensuring that they meet operations, safety and environmental standards.
  • Schedule and monitor production & maintenance activities to ensure conformance with statutory and asset integrity requirements.
  • Ensure that adequate contractual services cover is in place to support relevant disciplines within area of responsibility.
  • Update project control documentation and liaise with the DCC.

Requirements

  • Planning Engineer will have a minimum of HND, or equivalent, in an engineering discipline is desirable
  • Membership of an Engineering Institute is desirable
  • 10 years operational experience in the oil industry is essential
  • 8 years experience in an operational planning role is desirable
  • Experience in cost engineering is desirable
  • A strong background in using planning software is essential
  • Proficient in Primavera / MSProject / Word / Excel / Powerpoint / Access
  • Good knowledge of Nigerian Oil & Gas Legislation is essential
  • Experience as a Team Leader is essential
  • Team player, good interpersonal, communications and organisational skills are essential

Job description Drilling Engineer

Develops plans, costs, and schedules as well as supervises the operations necessary in the process of drilling oil and gas production, appraisal and exploration wells. Also performs well intervention operations with designs and construction of the water disposal/injection wells.

Job responsabilities:

  • Conduct DWOP, CWOP, WWOP & AAR meetings for all wells scheduled in the Technical Work Program and ensure that comments from these meetings are fed back into the future drilling and completion programs.
  • Working with multidisciplinary professionals to evaluate the commercial viability of the well and monitor progress during drilling.
  • Manage Drilling and Completion contracts by ensuring that the right set of tools are called off from the appropriate contract without exceeding the ceiling value and the contract validity
  • Make valuable contributions / review to well proposals from the Asset
  • Prepare detailed and executable Drilling/Completion/Workover program a week from spud.
  • Prepare AFE cost estimates and analysis. Track / control the actual well cost on daily basis to ensure all well related cost are captured based on the planned AFE
  • Timely delivery of the End Of Well Report
  • Communicate learning and advise on potential areas of performance improvement or improved value to the SDE.
  • Contributing to conceptual field development design
  • Monitoring the daily progress of well operations and current daily costs, comparing actual costs with cost expenditure proposals and recommending changes or improvements to rig work techniques, which could lead to optimization of expeniture.

Requirements Drilling Engineer

  • A good university degree in any Engineering course
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • The analytical ability to think through potentially complex problems and develop solutions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of teamwork skills and the ability to cooperate with others
  • Good technical understanding of the scientific principles of disciplines such as geology, physics, maths and chemistry
