BUSINESS ANALYST

This position leads the requirements development for applying technology to satisfy clients needs. Defines and documents internal and external user interfaces and supports system and data requirement clarification and definition. Systems and industry requirements for the clients Oracle ERP deployment and other applications on the clients platform. Also, acting as the liaison among internal stakeholders to analyze, document, communicate and validate business and system requirements for platform applications. In addition, the job will entail working with internal applications and integrating them with the ERP platform. Specific duties include but are not limited to the following essential job functions:

 

1.        Defines and documents customer business functions and processes.

2.        Consults with functional unit management and personnel to identify, define and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, and levels of systems access.

3.        Acts as a liaison between departmental end-users, technical analysts, information technology analysts, consultants and other governmental organizations in the analysis, design, configuration, testing and maintenance of case management systems to ensure optimal operational performance.

4.        Analyzes the feasibility of, and develops requirements for, new systems and enhancements to existing systems; ensures the system design fits the needs of the users.

5.        Tracks and fully documents changes for functional and business specifications; writes detailed universally understood procedures for permanent records and for use in training.

6.        Identifies opportunities for improving business processes through information systems and/or non-system driver changes; assists in the preparation of proposals to develop new systems and/or operational changes.

7.        Reads and interprets case management systems and functional technical literature and translates in terms understandable to the end-users.

8.        Plans, organizes and conducts business process reengineering/improvement projects and/or management reviews of court-wide significant or specific to a court division. (Examples are projects requiring strategic analysis of an entire process or operating area where specific issues or items to be corrected, examined or recommended have not been identified. Recommended solutions should be developed in consultation with impacted internal and external stakeholders, but should remain objective and independent of the specific stakeholders.)

9.        Researches and prepares statistical reports using data from court computer systems and internal surveys. Consolidates information into cohesive and understandable correspondence or other written form for use in management decision-making.

10.     Assists in developing an overall change management strategy for the court.

11.     Conducts change impact analysis to assess the potential implications of changes and documents court business rules, functions and requirements.

12.     Maintains wizard-driver configuration tables in the case management system(s).

13.     Participates in user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality.

14.     Provides technical assistance in training, mentoring, and coaching professional and technical staff.

15.     Develops training curriculum and conducts formal training sessions covering assigned systems module.

16.     Directs or participates in studies of new and existing programs and special projects to determine feasibility, resolve problems including organizational, procedural, technical and fiscal research and analysis; develops policy and procedures to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and/or improve internal and external customer service; develops information system documentation to support efficient court operations; prepares reports and written findings and recommendations; and monitors changes.

17.     Provides work direction to one or more technical or clerical staff or acts as a team lead on designated projects or assignments.

ORACLE ERP SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

This role is responsible for providing System Administration, DBA and Developer support for the Oracle EBS suite. This includes deep understanding of the EBS suite (framework, database platform, database schema, tools) and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the EBS suite. Under limited supervision, responsible for ensuring the reliable performance of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

 

Monitors and maintains ERP systems configuration, software, operating systems and third party components. Implements, tests and designs elements of ERP systems and applications. Resolves ERP related hardware, software and system problems. Installs new software releases and system upgrades, and evaluates and installs patches. Completes responsibilities including systems integration, operating system configuration, application configuration, tuning and scheduling jobs.

 

1.        System administration for EBS & ancillary applications

a.        Provide system administration of the EBS Suite (Oracle Application Framework, Oracle Workflow, Oracle Database platform and schema, XML Publisher, AME, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Oracle D2K tools), other technical components (SOA, BPEL, OAM, IAM, OEM) and third-party systems

b.        Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the same.

c.        Ensure ongoing integrity, performance and consistent uptime for applications and databases

2.        Change management

a.        Review internal work instructions and process promotion requests,

b.        Pre/post-review & approve executions from 3rd-party vendors,

c.        Pre/post-review & approve change requests;

d.        Update, review & approve SDLC documents;

3.        Peripherals support

a.        Install, qualify and support ERP peripherals (including barcode scanners, label printers, scales)

ORACLE ERP APPLICATIONS DBA

Oracle Apps Database Administrator to perform Oracle Application and Database Administrator maintenance and support tasks related to all client environments. The ideal candidate will have Oracle E-Business Suite (Financials) Applications DBA skills to serve on a high-performing, team supporting the financial systems of a federal government client. The candidate will work closely with the customer and IBM development and test teams as well as the rest of the IBM infrastructure support team.

•                     Experience with Oracle Single Sign On 10g is preferred. Also, experience with Oracle Access Manager is preferred and 5 years experience with UNIX shell scripting preferred. Applicant should be a certified Oracle DBA at the 11g level.

•                     Selected candidates may not need to travel for all projects outside of Lagos. However, all candidates must be able and willing to travel based on assigned project demand.
