Job description ICSS Lead/ Functional Analysis Engineer

  • ICSS Functional Analysis Engineer will be a specialist with vast knowledge of project development in as applicable to Process and Safety systems functional interpretations and interfaces functionalities with various packages and subsea control system. He will:
  • Provide assistance under the Egina ICSS Manager, the operations input in the development of the Field global Control and Safety Systems (covering Wells Completions, SPS Facilities, FPSO Topsides and Hull, Vendors Packages, UFR) to ensure that operations requirements are consistently met through the design and acceptance testing of the various control and safety systems.
  • Provide and ensure correct interpretation of Total General Specifications as applicable to all Standard Function block design.
  • Participate in ICSS Standard Function Acceptance Test (SFAT) and ensure that all punch-list are closed out.
  • Update Standard Function Block Functional Analysis specifications in line with test results.
  • Ensure identification of new Standard Function Block Functional Analysis specifications that to be development in line Egina operating philosophy.
  • Perform the above duties, with a need to liaise with the other Packages (SPS, UFR, and Drilling) to ensure operational acceptability of the design of the global Field ICSS. Participate in the ICSS FATs and IFATs accordingly.
  • Review updated Functional Analysis specifications in line with FAT results.
  • Follow up development of specific field operation control sequence tools such as OCWR, OFMS etc
  • Participate in commissioning activities in the actual deployment, integration and testing of the ICSS systems on the FPSO and more generally in the Instrumentation commissioning activities.
  • Provide assistance regarding the ICSS design and functionalities to the Operations Technical Support, the Production and the Maintenance / Inspection teams as required to allow them to perform their preparation activities related to facilities hand-over, start-up and normal operations.
  • Participate in the review of key engineering documents.
  • Follow-up of Contractor and Sub-contractors activities – detailed engineering, construction engineering, procurement, model tests and inclining experiments - related to field instrumentation, process control, safety systems and package PLC integration and ensure compliance with Company/Project specifications and with the requirements of the project documentation.
  • Co-ordinate and liaise with other packages.
  • Co-ordinate and liaise with DEV/TEC/IC by making best use of métiers structure and networks, obtain assistance from, selected contractors and consultants as appropriate.

Requirements ICSS Lead/ Functional Analysis Engineer

  • Qualification: Degree in Electronics engineering.
  • Experience: At least ten years in Instrumentation, Process control and safety system (Engineering companies, shipyard, and class certification society).
  • Experience in FPSO (or offshore facilities).
  • Familiarity with class requirements, and safety certifications.
  • Fluent English.

Terms & Conditions ICSS Lead/ Functional Analysis Engineer

  • Detailed engineering expected in Lagos and partly in Fare East.
  • Construction activities (hardware assembly, staging and testing) in Nigeria and Installation and commissioning in Far East.
  • Part of FPSO integration likely to occur in Lagos.
  • Long Term Contract

Job description UFR Construction Superintendant

  • Manages through the supervision of a team of 30 people and with respect to HSEQ objectives the onshore construction activities in Nigeria (SCNL, PCNL, Nestoil/EWT) with more than 15,000 tons of subsea structures and coating/double jointing of more than 7,000 pipes.
  • Defines the onshore CPY organisation required to supervise all onshore construction activities.
  • On the basis of CLIENT`S logistic means, assists the UFR team in implementing the suitable organisation to ensure proper logistic for all UFR Personnel in Nigeria (road transfer, national flights, accommodation, offshore transfer).
  • Check that due process and Nigerian Content process are followed in the selection by CTR (or CPY when relevant) of competent contractors to perform the works.
  • Verify consistency between engineering /procurement and construction engineering and ensure proper assistance is provided by the UFR engineering to the UFR team on Construction Sites
  • Review, analyse the onshore construction schedule. Such activity shall be led in close coordination with the UFR Construction Manager, the UFR Schedule Lead, the UFR QC Lead and the Client`s In Country Fabrication Manager and will consist in reviewing CTR schedule, assessing suitability of assigned workforce and assess any schedule impact as claimed by CTR or generated by CPY.
  • Follow up in close coordination with CTR’s, the UFR Construction manager and the UFR UFR QC Lead the availability of the materials and equipment required for construction activities.
  • Ensure appropriate coordination of onshore construction activities in line with offshore planning.
  • Responsible for all UFR load-out operations at UFR Contractor’s yard.
  • Assist the Construction Manager and the Installation Manager with the preparation of the offshore installation campaigns and local logistic assistance for the operation team and ensure, in relation with the relevant engineers in the UFR team, that the necessary support from any other Client`s Contractor’s is provided in due time when required on integration or tests yards.
  • Ensure that as-built dossiers comply with all QA/QC requirements and are delivered to the facilities end owners/users.
  • Assist in preparation of any budget forecast or any report/presentations requested by UFR.
  • Liaise with the UFR Construction Manager on a routine basis for the resolution of any outstanding issues
  • Promote and maintain a permanent smooth and seamless communication with CTR and UFR teams during all phases of the project.

HSE

  • Contribute to meet UFR HSE objectives while ensuring HSE requirements are taken into consideration during the construction phase to minimize risk to people and Company/contractor assets, at any time during the project phase.
  • Demonstrate leadership for implementation of Company HSEQ requirements and ensure on construction site the set up of the correct organization, that Contractor implement properly the HSE plan on the Construction Yards, the proper monitoring and recording of HSE performance of the sites.
  • Ensure that safe working practices are carried out within the construction team and the contractors in order to enforce Company HSEQ policy.
  • Ensure design is approved by Third parties (Certification and/or Classification and/or MWS) when applicable.
  • Provide construction input to update the UFR risks register along with all mitigation measures, in close coordination with CTR and CPY construction teams.
  • Participating in various technical reviews (COMOPS, SIMOPS, Hazids, Hazops, Project Technical Reviews, Risk Assessments…) and ensuring implementation of recommendations as necessary.
  • Lead and participate to safety tours and visits as defined by UFR. 

Requirements UFR Construction Superintendant

  • Chartered Engineer or similar education level, with a sound Oil & Gas technical background (multi-discipline) in deep offshore engineering and construction.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Oil and Gas industry with a strong background in construction activities.
  • Good knowledge of international design codes / standards and COMPANY general specifications
  • Experience in management of multi skill teams.
  • Team oriented, good communication, motivational, coordination and delegation skills.
  • Fluent in English both verbally and in writing
