Admin Officers

Job Description

  •     Responsible for providing comprehensive administrative services, including budget and financial management; purchasing, procurement, and contract administration;
  •     Perform general administrative services; facilities, property, safety, or space management; or human resources services.
  •     Serve as a principal advisor and participate in developing and implementing administrative management policies.
  •     Work with management on planning organizational needs, and preparing plans, goals, objectives, or criteria for management processes.


  • This position requires knowledge of a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for the development and management of major administrative programs, demonstrated analytical ability, and strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Qualification: Minimum of HND/B.Sc. from a reputable institution
  • Experience: 1-3 years working experience




Job Description

  •     Using a variety of software packages, such as microsoft word, outlook, powerpoint, excel, access, etc., to produce correspondence and documents and maintain presentations, records, spreadsheets and databases;
  •     Devising and maintaining office systems;
  •     Booking rooms and conference facilities;
  •     Using content management systems to maintain and update websites and internal databases;
  •     Attending meetings, taking minutes and keeping notes;
  •     Managing and maintaining budgets, as well as invoicing;
  •     Liaising with staff in other departments and with external contacts;
  •     Ordering and maintaining stationery and equipment;
  •     Sorting and distributing incoming post and organising and sending outgoing post;
  •     Liaising with colleagues and external contacts to book travel and accommodation;
  •     Organising and storing paperwork, documents and computer-based information;
  •     Photocopying and printing various documents, sometimes on behalf of other colleagues.

Other duties may include:

  •     Recruiting, training and supervising junior staff and delegating work as required;
  •     Manipulating statistical data;
  •     Arranging both in-house and external events.

Skills Required:

  • As a Secretary you need to be on top of  your game in order to deliver as per your job description.
  • Some of the skills required include being organized and detail oriented, always having a winning smile, listening well and presenting solutions, having terrific spelling and grammar skills as well as being up to date with current issues.
  • Qualification: Minimum of HND/B.Sc. from a reputable institution.
  • Experience: 1-3 years working experience
