Our client is a financial institution that creates value to its clientele by delivering expert financial services.
In line with the bank’s continuous drive to ensure availability of skills internally to adequately support achievement of corporate goals, the bank is seeking an experienced individual to develop a cohesive customer segment strategy with key emphasis on acquisition, growth and retention initiatives for the youth segment.

Responsibilities;

1. Develop and implement strategies and products in capturing Youth segment customers in order to increase the Bank’s customer base of the segment as well as retaining them.

2. Effectively leverage on the Bank’s already existing relationships and adequately categorize customers that best fit into the program and go further in managing, analyzing programs and offers to create stickiness and hence building loyalty.

3. Ensure growth in customer wallet share through cross-selling of products on existing accounts.


4. Develop and propose incentives/reward propositions that will give competitive advantage over competitors (Such as: Financial seminars, reduction of charges, freebies etc.)

5. Research and Monitor market trends in the form of life style needs, conduct market intelligence and keep up to date with competition, in order to develop the right/ customized products.

6. Create new partnerships with relevant institutions and bodies that will enable increased acquisition in the youth segment

7. Partner with relevant departments and design go-to-market strategies for new product introductions.

8. Work with MIS to provide performance reports needed for strategic decision making, as well as drive the right consumer behaviour.

9. Monitor and analyze activity levels in the segment, collaborate with relevant stakeholders (e.g. Marketing & Communications) to implement targeted promotions and strategies for the inactive customers.

The job occupant will ideally be a positive person, who is persuasive, self-starting, self-reliant, venturesome, optimistic, enthusiastic, active, mobile, impatient for results and stubbornly independent.


EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

A first degree. Possession of a post graduate qualification would provide an advantage


EXPERIENCE:

At least 5-7 years of relevant banking experience with good knowledge of Banking products.
