Job description
Understanding of manufacturing practices in Nigeria. Understanding of Product/Production Costs. Demonstrable experience in Strategic Planning and Business Systems Development. FMCG manufacturing experience in a food environment. Key Responsibilities/Duties: Assess the current operational processes and systems to understand if they are robust for the size of business and have ability to increase scale and speed to deliver the significant factory development plan. Assess and put in place factory improvement programme to bring in line with the company standards over a 2 year horizon. Understand the capability of the current supply chain from procurement through to logistics, and identify opportunities to deliver value and remove complexity. Understand the geographic and cultural challenges and develop a plan that is appropriate for the Area that ensures the current operational team develop a performance orientated, ambitious, competitive and energetic culture. Understand the current capability of people, plant and equipment and develop a plan that delivers against the key 3 year factory development milestones whilst building a factory capability that is self sustained and fit for future in terms of factory and capacity expansion. Improve plant performance, product quality, product functionality and product safety, ensuring the site operates within the company standards and complies with legislation. Identify performance improvement initiatives and encourage/facilitate a Continuous Improvement culture which effectively delivers on initiatives. Assess factory team skills and put in place an appropriate skills development programme. Play a key role with the technical and project engineering teams to deliver the 3 year business case for Nigeria including repatriation of key products, setting up of a new line and supporting the development of a potential new site. Rigorously manage the factory cost base. Support and drive the development and implementation of business infrastructure systems and projects to deliver consistent business performance.

Bachelor of Science (BSc) - Second Class Lower
Higher National Diploma (HND) - Upper Credit
