Project Business Development Engineer At An International Oil Servicing Company

Our client is an international company specializing in Pipeline Integrity, Oil Field Services, Engineering, Inspection, Asset Integrity, Risk Management and Project Management. They are also involved in small to large scale complex oil & gas engineering and construction projects.

The company is seeking to fill the position of:

Project Business Development Engineer

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop new and maintain existing customer relationships
  • Seek customers in company target markets through research and direct contact with potential customers Delivers compelling calls and presentations to introduce the company’s capabilities and value proposition.
  • Manage medium to large scale engineering projects as required. Develops project objectives, project schedule, controls project plan and control project costs.
  • Generate project/business opportunities and RFP’s through customer contact to meet company’s business plans and growth strategies.
  • Drive the sales process from inquiry/RFP coordination through “Closing the Deal”
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Major oil and gas operators and other oil service providers
  • Collaborate with company management to prepare and implement the company’s Marketing and Business Development Plan and strategy for meeting business goals.
  • Track and report current status of potential projects, markets, Customer news, and developments
  • Lead the development and preparation of RFP’s, Pre-Qualification, formal presentations.
  • Ensure all communication with customers are in accordance with our standards and correct in content and maintain customer/potential customer contact lists.
  • Responsible for representing the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.
  • Identifies and evaluates new markets and partnership opportunities through direct prospecting, networking, attendance and participation with various industry and professional groups and networking associations Perform other duties as assigned

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with some commercial / marketing or similar experience
  • Engineering degree essential with master as an added advantage

Required Experience
2 or more years of progressive engineering and business development, sales, project management experience in the oil and gas industry and/or engineering

Required Skills/Licenses/Certifications

  • You will be expected to display initiative, self motivation and deliver high quality work while at the same time, meeting all deadlines for all customers.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Good understanding of Subsea, Asset integrity and inspection.
  • Active driver’s license with a driving record representative of a safe driving history
  • Read, write and communicate using English language sufficient to perform job functions
  • Travel Requirement
  • Willing and able to travel occasionally.
